My wife and I had Tom Marks referred to us by a friend who is a financial planner. After our initial meeting with Tom, it was very clear to us that Tom was exactly the type of attorney we were looking for with regards to estate planning and other related matters. Tom was incredibly attentive to our... needs, prompt by always following thru on his commitments, extremely thorough in all his service ad took time to patiently explain all matters to us and answer any questions we had without making us feel like idiots. He met with us 3 times as part of our estate planning and always made himself available via phone calls or emails to answer any follow up questions we had. In fact, he provided a number of consultation and advice for services well beyond what we hired him to do without any additional costs. His cost structure was extremely reasonable and more than fair when compared to other estate planning attorneys referred to us by friends (of who some were themselves attorneys). If we could rate Tom higher than 5 stars (on a 5 star scale) we would for sure. I have already referred Tom to family and friends and have done so without hesitation. In fact, we have already reached out to Tom to assist with other matters related to our parent’s estate planning and other related matters.

My wife Theresa and I hired Tom to re-do our entire Estate Package. Way above the cost ( which was very reasonable) was the manner by which Tom works. We had the following completed for both of us: Wills Personal Trusts Real Estate Trust Health Care Proxies Power of Attorneys Tom made ...it his mission to ensure we understood every aspect of each document. Extremely organized and direct but the comfort-level we felt during the entire process was the most important. We would highly recommend Tom if you are considering options for Estate Planning.

A review should be written when everything is fresh in mind but here it is, still on my mind to do, even a few years later. I've reread all of the reviews and agree with so many of them, I'm finding it difficult not to repeat. A good friend recommended Tom when we had quite a lot of things going o...n requiring us to update our wills, health care proxy's, POA's and understand how trusts work. My wife and I met Tom on a "get to know each other" consult and found Tom to be a good listener, easy to understand, honest and caring. Most importantly, Tom was up to speed with the ever-changing rules of estate planning needs which including trusts, wills, health care proxy and power of attorney. We took care of everything painlessly in 2-3 meetings. As a side note, we asked Tom to review our elderly mother's recently updated trust and discovered that the recent updates did not protect her assets as expected. Tom's knowledge in this field is current and extremely important, especially with the ever-changing laws. We feel very good about recommending Tom Marks as your attorney. He has your best interests in mind.

From the first contact, I was impressed by his organized way of dealing with us about our wills and other estate-associated documents. He was always helpful, educational, thoughtful, patient, friendly, and responsive. And, ...I am very happy to say, he has an excellent sense of humor. It's hard to say that any legal process is fun, but we enjoyed each of our sessions because he did the tedious parts, and we got a focused, understandable education on how the proper documents could make make life easier for our descendants. The most painful (and necessary) work we had to do was collect our financial account numbers and passwords. As he recommended, we made several beneficiary changes to our financial accounts that will make their transition much easier.
