My wife and I had Tom Marks referred to us by a friend who is a financial planner. After our initial meeting with Tom, it was very clear to us that Tom was exactly the type of attorney we were looking for with regards to estate planning and other related matters. Tom was incredibly attentive to our... needs, prompt by always following thru on his commitments, extremely thorough in all his service ad took time to patiently explain all matters to us and answer any questions we had without making us feel like idiots. He met with us 3 times as part of our estate planning and always made himself available via phone calls or emails to answer any follow up questions we had. In fact, he provided a number of consultation and advice for services well beyond what we hired him to do without any additional costs. His cost structure was extremely reasonable and more than fair when compared to other estate planning attorneys referred to us by friends (of who some were themselves attorneys). If we could rate Tom higher than 5 stars (on a 5 star scale) we would for sure. I have already referred Tom to family and friends and have done so without hesitation. In fact, we have already reached out to Tom to assist with other matters related to our parent’s estate planning and other related matters.

My wife Theresa and I hired Tom to re-do our entire Estate Package. Way above the cost ( which was very reasonable) was the manner by which Tom works. We had the following completed for both of us: Wills Personal Trusts Real Estate Trust Health Care Proxies Power of Attorneys Tom made ...it his mission to ensure we understood every aspect of each document. Extremely organized and direct but the comfort-level we felt during the entire process was the most important. We would highly recommend Tom if you are considering options for Estate Planning.

Tom just completed our will, set up trusts and worked with my wife and I in getting our estate plan finalized and explaining our options. It was a pleasure working with Tom. He explained things very thoroughly and made us feel very comfortable immediately. We were charged a very reasonable flat fee, ...so we never felt that the clock was always ticking. We had 3 sit down meetings with Tom and each time my wife and I were totally impressed by his competence, professionalism and his caring demeanor. He was very thorough and would HIGHLY recommend him for anyone looking to have these services done. I have worked with alot of professionals and can safely say that Tom was a stand out.

For years, my husband and I have been talking about establishing an estate plan and finalizing our wills. However, we didn’t know where to begin or who to see, so we kept on procrastinating, worrying all the while. All that changed when we were referred to Tom Marks. Not only is he very knowledgeabl...e and professional, but friendly, caring and kind. He has a great sense of humor, too. If you didn’t understand something, he would explain it differently. We had many complex issues and questions, which Tom addressed in detail. He worked with us over several sessions to create our wills, health care proxies, and an individualized estate plan designed to meet our specific needs. We are very pleased and relieved that the procrastination is over. Unlike other lawyers who charge by the hour, Tom charges a flat fee no matter how long the sessions run, or how often you need to email or call him. Even though our plan has been finalized, it is comforting to know that we can continue to call Tom with questions. As for the sessions, some were held at our house and some at his office, where he allowed our little dog, too. No, we didn’t leave the estate to the dog, but Tom did make sure we indicated who would care for him if something happened to us. We highly recommend Tom for his outstanding skills on all levels, personal and professional.

My wife and I hired Atty. Marks after a reference from an associate of ours. We wanted Wills, Healthcare proxies, Power of Atty., trust for each of us, and an irrevocable trust for our home. We met with Tom for an hour to explain what we want to accomplish. We had laid out how trust payments would be... handled and by whom. It was very simple ( I thought). He took all the time we needed to explain the laws and why we could not do what we wanted, but showed us how to accomplish our goals with the best financial results possible. We will pass wealth to our families with the bare minimum of taxes. Attorney Marks made our four meetings very pleasant. Although he knew more about this than we did he made us fell very knowledgeable about the process. Our trust , the way we wanted it, was more involved than what I've heard about beforehand. This was not a problem for Atty. Marks. He explains, he answers phone calls, he responds to e-mail, and he answers every question. The entire process of planning after my passing was comfortable. Our estate planning has been complete for 4 months now and Tom is still available to answer any questions we come up with. The cost of his service was low compared to the effort and service we received. I would hire him again.
