Gary has my recommendation

Gary was not my divorce lawyer but I often wished he was. I hired Gary after spending many thousands of dollars on a divorce which left me financially vulnerable and with an ex-husband who was in contempt of our separation agreement. Gary spent 1 1/2 hours with me, learning the facts of my case befor...e he was even hired. He was confident that he could help me to rectify the situation and that confidence rubbed off on me. His fees were very fair (and I should know having been "churned" by my divorce lawyers) and he was very accessible by phone, email and even text. I subsequently recommended Gary to a close friend of mine who is going through a divorce. She is midway through the process and is very satisfied. This fall I retained Gary again to represent me in the recent sale of my home. His fees were very reasonable and, once again, he helped me remain calm as we navigated through several “glitches” relating to the buyers’ mortgage commitment.

Commited, Determined, Ethical, Involved

I would highly recommend Gary Avratin if you are looking to hire a divorce lawyer who is committed, determined, ethical, knowledgeable, competent, resourceful, supportive, and respected by the courts and who genuinely cares about every one of his clients. I initially hired Gary, who was recommende...d to me by one of his clients, to simply freeze the family assets while I attempted to keep my marriage together. For a whole year, Gary supported my efforts to work on my marriage and left me alone to decide what I needed to do, which ultimately was to get divorced. As part of my divorce settlement, I was determined to get reimbursed from my husband for the obscene amount of money he spent as a result of his addictions. I was advised by big, expensive, downtown Boston law firms that it would be basically impossible to be made whole on any of the money spent and my only option would be to divide our current assets. Gary believed otherwise and encouraged me to gather all of the evidence I could to support my husband’s outlandish spending over the past ten years. Throughout the divorce process Gary listened to my concerns, ideas and suggestions. He involved me in every stage of the divorce strategy. Ultimately, Gary’s professional approach, personal involvement, excellent understanding of the facts, straight forward presentations to the judge, passion, and strategic deposition of my ex-husband lead to an incredible settlement that was beyond what I expected to receive. Lastly, when you hire Gary Avratin, you get Gary Avratin. You are not assigned to another lawyer within the firm who does all the work and then the lawyer you thought you hired shows up (clueless) at the last minute to support your case. Gary works with you every step of the way. His first priority is a successful outcome for his client, whether it is reconciliation or divorce, not billable hours.
