Laura is superb in every way and we very highly recommend her. We had a complicated case with the school and from the very start Laura was there for us. We spoke to 3 other lawyers and Laura hands down was the right choice. She spent her time to tell us what our options were, with specific suggestions on professional experts, schools, evaluations and assessments. Laura has an excellent network, knows the special education field very well and was able to get us the correct connections in a timely manner beyond the call of duty. Laura is very personable, caring, easy to talk to and work out a mutual plan of action every step of the way. We had a strong, knowledgeable, effective legal and educational advocate on our side which was huge. Laura got us the outcome we desired and we can't thank her enough. She is exceptional and extremely dedicated to serving children and their families in the very best ways.

The day I first spoke with Laura I knew I had found someone special. She took the time to talk with me and answer all my questions. She was willing to get right to work on my case. Her knowledge of the special education system and government agencies is impressive. She not only understands the system, but also how to maneuver around it and get things done, in a fast and no nonsense way. It was apparent early on she is well liked and respected by many people in her field. This made it much easier dealing with the town attorneys, the school district, and the private placements. She is quick to respond to any questions via email or phone. Laura is a life saver.

I had the privilege of working with Attorney Gillis 15 years ago and I continue today to be impressed with her tenacity and skill as a lawyer and total commitment to her clients. She is sharp, extremely bright, and never lets go until she is satisfied that her client has achieved a just result. She is the consummate professional.
