Jay Zaheer is the Senior Partner of Zaheer Law Group, Jay did not take the traditional approach with regards to his legal educational career. Instead, Jay entered Law School after six years working in the legal field. After graduating High School in Brentwood, NY, where he was senior class president, Jay went to completing his Bachelors of Arts from University of Massachusetts-Boston. It has been his dream to be a lawyer since his first exposure to the legal field while on a High School trip to The United States Supreme Court in Washington D.C. While attending college, he received “Who’s who among Students in American Junior Colleges” award and after College, Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity honored him as the Alumni of Year award for his outstanding work as an Alumni counselor. Jay was also Multicultural Student Association President in College and South Asian Law Student Association President in Law School. “It has always been my goal to be well oriented with people from all walks of life, my experience and diverse background enables me to see and perceive things from the client’s point of view and I have used this asset to benefit my clients,” Jay explains.
Jay has worked as a paralegal in a busy personal injury law firm in New York and as a Litigation Paralegal Manager at a top 100-law firm in downtown Boston. Jay knew he wanted to be an attorney, but decided he wanted to expose himself in the legal field first to see if this was truly his calling. Sure enough, upon multiple promotions in his legal career, he knew it was time for Law School. Jay Zaheer attended Massachusetts School of Law and during his time in law school, Jay received multiple CALI awards. Jay worked though out his law school career and on the weekends worked at the school’s law library to support his family. While in school, Jay also became a certified student attorney and volunteered time at the Northeast Housing Court with “Lawyer for the day” program.
Upon gradating law school and being sworn in, Jay immediately opened a law practice. Jay’s love for the Real Estate field and outgoing personality has landed him as a regular guest speaker at First-Time Home Buyer Seminars in Medford and Bradford, MA and he also appeared as a guest speaker for the Boston Bar Association. “As a landlord tenant attorney I have tried many cases and each and every time before I start preparing for trial, I hear my one of my professor’s voice, “outwork your opponent,” says Jay. When asked how Jay handles the stress of running his own firm, Jay passionately explains, “You know what it takes to successfully run your own law firm? It takes motivation, drive, patience and a whole lot of elbow grease. Yes, I do pick up a client call at 11pm on a Saturday and meet clients after hours, and it is initial sacrifices like these that gets a lawyer repeat business. Make each client feel like they are your only client.”

Jahangir Zaheer is an excellent attorney who I highly recommend for landlord and tenant work. He not only is very well versed in the law but he also understands the practical aspects involved with court and can guide his clients to the best outcome considering all of the factors. I personally have seen Attorney Zaheer at the court on several occasions and have always been impressed with his professionalism and skill. Recently I know of a case in which he handled a very serious housing emergency. Attorney Zaheer was able to take charge of case from the start and achieved an excellent outcome. I have referred clients to Attorney Zaheer in the past and I would not hesitate to do so again.
