Compassionate and Competent from Start to Finish

I highly recommend Attorney Kantrovitz and his legal assistant Colleen. After my accident, I faced multiple surgeries, therapy, and ongoing medical appointments. Trying to manage everything on my own was overwhelming. As soon as Attorney Kantrovitz and Colleen took over my workers' compensation case,... I felt immediate relief. They handled every detail with professionalism and care. I never had to follow up or chase anything down—they were consistently available by phone and email, kept me informed, and made sure I understood each step of the process. I truly felt like I had a team looking out for me. In the end, I received the best settlement possible thanks to their experience and dedication. After speaking with other attorneys before choosing this firm, I can confidently say you won’t find a team more responsive, compassionate, and competent. They made a difficult process so much easier.

Dear Alvaro and Lisa I wanted to thank you both for taking the time to prepare your thoughtful review. More important, I am happy and grateful that you both trusted Colleen and I with the handling of Alvaro's case. I truly understand and appreciate how overwhelming a workers compensation case can be, particularly when the medical issues and the treatment are complex. While it was most certainly a process, I think all worked out well, with both the medical care and the final resolution of Alvaro's case. I am pleased that you both felt well informed and educated throughout the process. In closing, I wanted to thank you both again and I wish you the best of luck going forward. Best regards, Steven H. Kantrovitz, Esq.

A Professional Lawyer that fights for you,

My story: I had fallen at my place of employment and reported to the company that I work that same day. I felt there may be a serious injury to my left shoulder as the weeks/months went by because of continued pain. I did continue working with pain moving/lifting my arm. My employer did eventuall...y give me the information I needed to proceed with check up after weeks of asking for it? IN SHORT: Turned out I had suffered massive rotatory cuff tears to my left shoulder, resulting in surgery and months of physical therapy. INTERESTING OUTCOMES: During therapy after the surgery my shoulder was telling me something still wasn’t right! Pain continued, and range of motion was not coming back. Meanwhile the workers comp surgeon was telling me I’m fine every check up! And I should prepare to return to work soon, every time I checked in with him. I had bad feeling about everything that has happened up to now. I was suffering from the same pain before the surgery, and the workers comp doctor was releasing me to return to work soon. Ignoring everything I told him, and my concern. I called Steven Kantrovitz! Because from the very beginning my place of employment had no concern of the pain I suffered daily from the fall. Then dragging out me getting necessary workers comp documents to see a doctor. Resulting in rotary cuff surgery. Then having a WC Dr telling me I should be getting ready to return to work even though I’m telling the Dr something still didn’t feel right, it still hurts. Steven pushed workers comp for a second MRI that indeed show the surgery failed. Yes, After all I just explained above the surgery did fail, I was right all along! Two surgeries later and currently still in therapy, I am finally getting back to normal life! Steven Kantrovitz settled my case! His professionalism got me a VERY comfortable reward. Much more than I imagined. Believe me when I say Steven is a genuine good man that really cares, and he knows his stuff! BOTH Steven AND Colleen helped me through some tough days during this long ordeal, both always taking the time to explain what’s happening in a way I can understand. They always called me back if I could not get through, and NEVER rushed me off the phone. Best thing I ever did work related was call Steven Kantrovitz! In the end, It was kinda sad for me the day my case settled, I will miss talking with them both. Steven and Colleen are wonderful real people.. I’m so thankful I found them, and everything they did for me.

Dear Bill Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to write your review. As we had discussed, for those folks with no prior experience with an attorney, or a good and reliable friend to make the referral, people are left with the daunting task of finding an attorney online or worse, via TV advertising. As Forest Gump said, life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get" In my view, reviews provide a reliable vehicle for the consumer to make an educated choice. Thank you for taking the time to read the reviews, and selecting me as your attorney. I hope I did not disappoint! More important, I am thankful for your patience and trust. As we discussed, workers comp can be a slow and difficult process, but at the end of the day, things generally workout as they should. I am so pleased we were able to secure a good outcome and that you were able to find a new orthopedic surgeon who actually listened and cared about the well-being of his patient. In closing bill, I really appreciate your patience and trust. Colleen was also thankful for your kind review. I wish you the very best going forward. Take good care my friend. Steven

Dear Mike Thanks so much for taking the time to do the attorney review for me. For those folks who do not have the benefit of a friend making a referral to an experienced and qualified attorney they are required to either go online or rely on attorney advertisements on TV. Unfortunately, the end result often does not work out well. Other than that, I am very pleased we had provided the services you both require and should expect. I agree that the end result was most certainly in your best interest. I really appreciate both your patience and trust throughout this difficult process. Very best of luck going forward Mike. Steve

The man you need!

I met Steve Kantrovitz on the recommendation of a co-workers father. Small back history: many many years ago I had a worker's comp case with a different law firm and it was a traumatizing, horrible experience. I swore that, short of breaking my back or my neck, I would just suck it up so as to never ...go on workman's comp. NEVER have to be involved with a workers comp lawyers again. Well fast forward many years later and I had two accidents in a row at work. I did as I said I would, I dealt with all that pain and trauma. Think about that for a minute folks. The experience I had with a previous law firm left such a bad taste in my mouth that I would rather just suffer from the injury than go on workman's comp. Fast forward after THAT just under a year later and I could no longer ignore my injuries. I was terrified of having to go through that horrible experience all over again. Thankfully my coworker recommended to me this guy he knew named Steve. I quizzed my coworker for a 2 hours. I called Steven's office to make an appointment. After a return call my wife and I drove to his office. Immediately upon meeting Steve I felt most of my fears alleviated. He was not some slick talking, overbearing TV ad ambulance chasing shyster that I had come to expect. He has a great manner about him, with an easy laugh yet a serious, but not somber, demeanor when it came to getting down to business. We went over my case thoughtfully and completely. There was no rush. There was no hurry. He INSISTED that I understand there were no stupid questions. I told him about my previous experience. He knew the firm we were discussing. Without bad mouthing his peers he fully understood why I had been hesitant to come to another lawyer and explained to me how much it bothered him that because of negative experiences people like me would rather be in pain than go over their options with a legal professional. After a lengthy, thoughtful and thoroughly informative meeting I asked him about compensation for my injuries. He informed me that he believed that I was due for compensation but first, and I quote, "Chris, my first concern is getting you the care you need." Let that sink in for a minute folks because that is verbatim. Friends, you cannot fake that level of sincerity. I signed up with Steve right there and then. That was a few years ago. Fast forward to now in November of 2022 and, good to his word, he has more than gotten me the care I need. Doctor's appointments, therapy, testing, therapeutic equipment, spinal and cervical injections, multiple mri's, surgeries and so on and so forth. Things the insurance company didn't want to pay for. Things they constantly bust my chops for. Steve fought (and continues to fight) for, and got approved, every step of the way. A little while back we finally went to court. Recently we got a decision from the court and it was across the board in my favor. I'm man enough to admit that when Steve called to tell me the good news I was emotional. Years of not just pain but anxiety and constant worry finally faded away with that one phone call. I knew for the first time in a long time that I was going to be alright. That I and my family were going to be alright. That is because of Steve Kantrovitz.

Dear Chris So sorry it took this long for me to respond to your review. Your thoughtful and detailed review left me speechless. I know, that is saying a lot with my long winded self! Anyway, I am also pleased that you went into the detail you did with your other experience with the other law firm. Unfortunately all law firms do not treat their clients the same way and do not get the same results. I am so pleased you took the leap of faith to try it again with another attorney and trusted me with the handling of your case. We still have a long way to go Chris. We are now in the drivers seat, and that is where I intend to keep us. And yes Chris, you are alright, and that's where I intend to keep us. Thanks again Chris. Steve

“Look No Further”

I was given Atty: Kantrovitz’s phone number from a mutual acquaintance after I had shoulder surgery. After Six months of PT my rehab was not progressing well so I called Atty: Kantrovitz. We met for two hours and when I explained my situation the first thing Steve said to me was to continue with reha...b and hopefully my shoulder would heal and I would be able to go back to work, but if I continued to have problems he would help me with whatever I wanted to do. His first concern was my health and well-being. We talked at length about family, sports, work, etc.. Atty: Kantrovitz also discussed every scenario with W/C and how each situation could play out. When I left our meeting I didn’t even think twice about looking for another attorney, if I ended up needing one. Unfortunately for me, my shoulder surgery did not work, but “The Best” decision I ever made was hiring Atty: Kantrovitz. That’s not an exaggeration! I had six surgeries and for Five years I had to experience every step of the process involved with W/C and I couldn’t imagine having anyone other than Atty: Kantrovitz representing me as he had my back every step of the way. It didn’t matter what the issue was, Steve was there to rectify the problem, like Drs appts, denials, problems with pay etc. Atty Kantrovitz would call me in advance and let me know what a future hearing was about and what possibly could happen, but unlikely to happen. Because of Covid I was not required to appear in person for most of the hearings but after every hearing Steve would call and let me know how things went and in my case the court always agreed with our side. Every Time! This was the most stressful time in my life not knowing how things would play out but every time I spoke with Steve he assured me that everything would be fine. I always felt at ease after talking with Steve. We ended up settling and I know that Atty: Kantrovitz got the best settlement possible for myself and my family. Atty: Kantrovitz never once pushed me to settle and move on at any point during these last five years. It was always what was best for me. Every step in the W/C process that Steve had told me how things would go, played out exactly as he said it would. Not only did I get the “Best Attorney”, I gained a “Very Good Friend”! I also can’t forget Colleen, Steve’s assistant. She was always there for me when Steve was unavailable or busy with other clients. I cannot emphasize enough when when I say “look No Further” Contact Atty: Kantrovitz you will not regret it!

Dear Paul Thanks so much for the wonderful and heartfelt review. Over the last several years I think we have come to be great friends, in addition to our wonderful working relationship. I am so pleased that I kept you well informed throughout this difficult process, and did not put any pressure on you to secure my counsel. You did have a wonderful job with people who also cared about you. That, unfortunately is not always the case. Had everything worked out well with your medical care, I would have encouraged you to return to work, without any reservation. Unfortunately the severity of your injury did not allow a successful return to work. We then had to shift gears and establish a strategy to protect you legally, financially and medically. After much time, we were successful on all fronts. All I hope for now is that you have an improvement in your symptoms and you can start being Paul again. You truly are a good man and a good friend and I hope only for the best going forward. Stay in touch my friend. Steve
