SCAMMER, JUDGEMENTAL, Thinks he is the D.A

He told me prior to representation that he would get me back on the road with no problem for an (Immediate threat). After receiving my first payment he was inconsistent with communication, finally when speaking to him he recited my past record to me and proceeded to call me a "drug dealer"! I hired ...him for an appeal and had already done what the RMV asked of me, he sends me a list of tasks to complete that are far more then the RMV itself asks and I would have to pay even more money out of pocket! He was very judgemental in brief conversation ,rude and unprofessional!!! e a "drug dealer"

BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL

I was ao grateful to have found Matthew. I was in a huge bind and he walked me through process explaining etire process every step of way. Explained exactly what I needed to get done and he had my license reinstated before I blinked, be has me on the road again within a week! Couldn't recommend mor...e than! 5 stares or I'd give him 20! This being new to me, he always was a phone or text away and promptly replied any questions I had, putting himself in my shoes-understanding it was something I was familiar with as I am Japan. Always took time no matter what time day or night to immediately answer questions I thought of. He's the real deal. Don't bother even looking elsewhere. Kind, courteous and knows his stuff,!! Thanks, Matt for getting me back on track so fast. I've told everyone I know how great you were and if ever blindsided like I was, to call you. Can't thank you enough*, Kristin (I submitted review last night but phones broken so I wanted everyone to see wxacyhiw great you are. thanks again : )

Best license attorney in Ma!

If you need an attorney (especially one who deals with RMV and Mass Board of Appeals) look no further. I met Matt at a very rough time in my life. I lost my license due to an out of state suspension for a DUI charge. When I lost my license I was overwhelmed with anxiety and fear about the complicatio...ns that were to come because of the out of state charge. I started to look for an attorney, and found Matt. I had a consultation with him and he was honest, fair, and told me exactly what we needed to do, and I hired him immediately. I am so happy I found Matt because throughout this 15 month ordeal, which felt like a lifetime, Matt was there for me, and lead me in the right direction in getting my license back. I was anxious through this whole ordeal, and many times he listened to me complain ALOT, and was a champ about it, and always made me feel better . Matt isn’t an attorney that is about money and only money, but is an attorney who genuinely helps people and cares. I dealt with three different attorneys, the one for my out of state criminal charge , one to deal with the professional boards (I’m a professional) and Matt, who dealt with the Mass Board of Appeals and RMV. Out of the three attorneys, Matt was by far the best, and I paid a third of what I paid for the others, and he did the most work and went above and beyond. Matt was also a very responsive attorney(which is hard to find). If you need an attorney please save yourself the time and energy and hire Matt, he is a good guy who is honest and beyond fair. Thanks Matt for all of your help!!!

3rd OUI Case — License revoked: Immediate Threat

Attorney Mathew Gilman helped me get my license back and went above and beyond call of duty. I appreciate the fact that he always reached out to me before I could call him whereas other Attorneys sometimes don’t return cilent calls the same day. He accompanied me to the Board of Appeals for my hearin...g and spoke of my behalf there and the following day as well because he happened to be there and my case was particularly problematic (3rd OUI). After I received the letter from board of appeals, he helped me better comprehend it and instructed me to go see the hearing officer to acquire my license. Naturally, I went to RMV the next day, while I was there Hearing officer was being somewhat difficult so I contacted Mr. Gilman. He called the RMV manager to point out Boards letter which stated reinstatement of license and he made sure I got my license back that day. Furthermore, I got my actual/regular license not the hardship license with restrictions. I utterly believe if it wasn’t for Attorney Gilman, I wouldn’t have my license right now. He is kind, caring, professional and most importantly extremely knowledgeable. I suppose being a hearing officer in the past has helped him become the best lawyer for matters regarding rmv, hearing officer and all license related issues. Needless to say, he’s quite familiar with the overall RMV procedures specailly “Immediate threat” as was the case with me. I highly recommend Attorney Mathew Gilman and hiring him was the best decision I made as far as my license is concerned. Lastly, I found Attorney Gilman online while searching google for “best License Lawyers in Mass” and I read some reviews which led me to hire Mr. Gilman so I truly hope my review helps someone out there with suspensed/revoked license.

OUI Plea and Hardship License

Matt was proactive in reaching out to me once he took my case. He listened to all of the details of the case and was reassuring. He knew all the ins and outs of my circumstances. He was also readily available via the phone and email. On the day of my court appearance attorney Gilman arrived early... and spoke with the ada about my case. He was reassuring as we waited for the case to be called. During the interaction with the judge he was proactive in providing the judge with positive aspects of my case. The judge ended up adding one charge, but I do not fault attorney Gilman for that. Additionally, Matt was super helpful in getting my hardship license. He walked me through the process, give me guidance on crafting my letter, researched public transportation options and how they would not be viable, and brought me to the RMV in Boston. While at the RMV, he showed me exactly where to go, what forms to fill in, and met with the hearing officer, on my behalf. Attorney Gilman has experience working at the RMV as a hearing officer, and as such he had a lot of connections, and this made the process very smooth. I would recommend him unequivocally and without hesitation.

"Atty. Matt Gilman uses his talent and experience for everyone, not just his clients. I met Matt at a volunteer seminar on RMV licensing issues a few years ago, because real lawyers never *stop learning. He spent his time and effort to help educate his colleagues on nuanced areas of the law. He is always willing to take a call seeking guidance, or offer his perspective on approach. Lawyers that help other lawyers improve their knowledge, or share their resources deserve every success that comes their way. Good lawyers care very much about their clients and the results of the case; Great lawyers care just as much about the work of their colleagues and overal reputation of the bar. Matt is a great lawyer and I reccommend him."
