Organized, Professional, and Helpful

Outstanding experience! My situation was pretty minor compared to others (holding my phone in the car, though multiple times over time does add up), but it still could’ve gotten complicated. My previous attorney was wicked sloppy: typos, wrong hearing times, etc., and it could’ve caused real issue...s if I hadn’t double-checked things. When I needed help again, a friend told me Attorney Gilman was “the absolute best”… and he was right. From the intake form to the text reminders to just how nice everyone was, everything felt easy and well-run. He even took the time to call me and explain something in a straightforward, non-condescending way when it wasn’t clicking over email, which I really appreciated. Emily came with me to the hearing and was great to talk with, super supportive and easy to have there. Hopefully I won’t need this kind of help in the future, but I’ve already referred his firm to others and definitely would again. Thank you!

Be Careful With This Lawyer

I hired Matt Gilman to handle an RMV matter. Our initial conversations were good, and I paid him. Well. Then I waited. And Waited. And waited. For a return phone call about my case. When we finally spoke, he treated me like a criminal. Spoke down to me. Very condescending. I would avoid hiring Matt G...ilman at all costs.

I am really sorry that you had a negative experience. It is difficult for me to properly respond to such a review when the post was done anonymously. It often takes time for my office to obtain all the records and documents from the Registry of Motor Vehicles. My job when hired to deal with the Registry of Motor Vehicles is to tell you what you need to hear and the process that we need to take to get you back on the road. Sometimes that means having to hear that the Registry will assume everything in the police and medical reports that they received is true. The goal in every case my firm handles with the Registry is to get clients back on the road as quickly as possible. That often means having to tell clients things that they do not want to hear. It is not aimed at being condescending, it is preparing you to deal with the Registry and/or Division of Insurance Board of Appeals.

Highly Recommend

I myself did not use Attorney Gilman but my son did. After a 10 year loss of license from a complicated suspension he finally has it back!! I cannot express how appreciative my husband and I are with Gilman Law. We have been our son’s transportation for the past 10 years and it is now finally over.... Our family highly recommends this law firm for anyone needing help getting their license back. Thank you so much!

AWESOME!!

Matt is a top rate lawyer - he know his stuff. Matt was able to get my "privilege(s)" reinstated in MA, as I am a NH resident. Amazing work and on the ball at all times. I couldn't say enough about his attention to detail and follow through. Thank you - job well done!!!

Interlock Device Requirement

Highly recommend Attorney Gillman. Great communication. Extremely knowledgeable. Gets positive results. Respected by fellow attorneys and the Massachusetts RMV. "Want it back, call Matt."

"Atty. Matt Gilman uses his talent and experience for everyone, not just his clients. I met Matt at a volunteer seminar on RMV licensing issues a few years ago, because real lawyers never *stop learning. He spent his time and effort to help educate his colleagues on nuanced areas of the law. He is always willing to take a call seeking guidance, or offer his perspective on approach. Lawyers that help other lawyers improve their knowledge, or share their resources deserve every success that comes their way. Good lawyers care very much about their clients and the results of the case; Great lawyers care just as much about the work of their colleagues and overal reputation of the bar. Matt is a great lawyer and I reccommend him."
