Almgren Law Review

I hired Almgren Law to prepare and submit a MassHealth Application for my 92 year old Mother who was entering an Assisted Living Facility. This process is very complicated and our family was having to transition my mother after she lived independently for 91 years in her own apartment. I received t...remendous support from Paula and especially Dawn who I worked closely with. They patiently and professionally guided me through the process and successfully got my Mother's application approved. I highly recommend Paula Almgren and her staff. In fact even after I received the MassHealth Approval there was another process that had to be approved related to the Assisted Living Facility and Paula Almgren and her staff were most helpful in providing documentation to them and answering questions from me.

Excellent help with Medicaid and estate planning

I contacted Paula Almgren when my mother got seriously ill and my father became overwhelmed with her day to day care. I'm so glad I did. Paula took the time to meet with us and fully explain care and estate planning options. For a reasonable flat fee, she helped my parents estate plan, reposition the...ir marital assets and apply for benefits for my mother. Throughout the process, Paula and her team were caring, patient and responsive to any questions we had. My mother now receives support from home health aides. I can't emphasize enough how important this has been for both my parents' quality of life.

With Paula’s Help We Move My Mother Home Against All Odds!!!

My mother had a fall and suffered a spinal cord injury. She was in a local nursing home, was paralyzed and needed significant care. Before we met with Paula we had no idea where to begin and we were stressed out, overwhelmed and we all felt helpless. We didn’t think we had any choices beyond nu...rsing home for my mother. My parents did not want to be apart and they were both very sad. Even though my mother needed total care, Teri the registered nurse from Almgren Law, met with the nursing home staff and began to put together a safe plan for my mother’s discharge home. Paula put together an estate plan for my parents and applied for community based MassHealth for my mother which helped with the significant cost of her care. My parents were so happy to be together at home and they both cherished their time together. From her wheelchair my mother was even able to critique the way we decorated the Christmas tree! My mother recently passed away but the precious time we had at home together as a family would not have been possible without the support and extensive knowledge of the entire staff at Almgren Law. Their assistance was truly Priceless!
