Filing for bankruptcy was the hardest thing I ever had to do because I have had excellent credit all of my life and filing really made me feel like a failure. Mr MaGee and his team were very knowledgeable and trustworthy, they kept me informed and assured me that my life was not over. I no longer felt as though I had to keep my head down and felt confident that I could rebuild my credit. It amazed me at how many credit offers I received before my case was even completed. The offers are still flooding in but right now I am focusing on keeping my bills current. I know that the door is open for me to rebuild my credit because of the many offers that still keep flooding in but for right now I will take it slow. If you are looking for an Attorney with Integrity and very knowledgeable, then I highly recommend the law office of Mr James H MaGee.

I recently experienced a hardship and was in desperate need of an attorney. Not knowing he did not specialize in what it was I was looking for he gave me his full attention and time. He was determined to let me know he was going to help me find someone to work with a case like mine. He asked me to give him a call back if I had not heard from him, which I meant to do but didn't want to take anymore of his time but today not only did I receive an email I also received a phone call from him with possible attorneys to take my case ... gave me hope. James truly cares and went above and beyond for me.

Mr. MaGee was great when we started and first filed our Chapter 13. Trying to get anything out of his office since has been very difficult. I've had to request paperwork multiple times on a couple different occasions before finally receiving what I needed/wanted.

My son asked me to help & support him during his recent bankruptcy which lead us to James MaGee. On our first consultation appointment we realized he was the right person for helping my son. Not knowing what to expect or do was quickly turned into "a plan". The information packet my son received walked him through all the steps for getting his information together . There was peace of mind knowing all questions had been answered and everything done correctly. James MaGee was so supportive, helpful and made this legal process less scary. So very thankful we found him.
He was correct in warning us we might get extra mail because of the Bankruptcy. He was so right on. we get car purchase info, credit card info, offers to restore credit. Through his POB they even tracked him to our home where he recently moved. So getting double advertising...POB & home address.

I love his staff and Mary is amazing. However The first time I met him he was a half hour behind, I understand we all get behind and when I asked question about this process I felt like he didn't really answer then and if he did I it was in a round about way. He doesn't seem to have much passion for his job and he was just going through the motions. Then when I went back to sign papers I waited an hour for him then when I did go in to seen him he gave me my file told me to review and left the room and when and made phone calls and I sat there waiting for him yet again for 20 min. He never really answered my questions that I had so I talked to Mary quite a bit. If it wasn't for her I would have gone some where else.

'went to court twice with out him ,He had a proxy but not the same as having your own lawyer.Lack of communications between his staff and him..Left messages no return calls. Talked to staff and got conflicting answers from the lawyer. His plus side is he is knowledgabeable.

As a person who never has contacted a lawyer except to make a will or to have my parents will probated,
I had no idea who do go to. I always like to look for the Better Business Bureau emblem as a good starting place. As Mr MaGee was also able to see me in Puyallup after work, I chose him. I was able to
see him within a week which was great. He and I went through all the papers I had brought with me,
and he knew right away bankruptcy was the only way for me to go. By the way, the half hour consult was free. I cannot express what a relief I felt by letting someone else who knows the ropes help me.
His staff was knowledgeable and helpful and I was always treated with courtesy and respect. In court Mr Magee was professional and well prepared, and once again I felt relief and gratitude for a job well done. It is not easy to admit sometimes that you need help and are so scared and worried about your finances that it affects you physically. I should have contacted him months before I did as I now feel like I am on the road to financial recovery. I give he and his staff A+.

Having just finished filing for Chap. 7 bankruptcy, I would highly recommend James MaGee as a bankruptcy attorney. He and his staff made the process quite easy for me and understood that I was quite uneducated about the procedure and it's implications on my future consumer credit rating (I had many questions all during the procedure). At first meeting, James and I sat for a long while, talking about how to proceed, and asking/answering the many questions involved in the procedure. In the weeks that followed, I provided all of the required personal information required prior to the court date. After I had received my Case Number for the court appearance, the calls from debt collectors stopped and instead, I began to receive letters from companies that wanted me to contact them to try to re-establish my credit. The court appearance was only about 5 min. long, since all of the required paperwork/forms were made ready and available to the Judge hearing my case. It went very smoothly and I attribute this fact to the efficient staff at James' office in Tacoma. Again, I would highly recommend James MaGee to anyone shopping for a bankruptcy attorney.

I truly enjoyed the experience with Mr. MaGee and his staff. When coming into the first meeting with Mr. MaGee I was very nervous and unaware of how the process should go. After the first meeting I felt very comfortable with taking this step in my life and whenever I had a question the staff (Mary) was there to help me right away. I would highly recommend Mr. MaGee to anyone that is looking for an attorney.

My husband and I hired Mr. MaGee to handle our Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Going into this we had no knowledge of what to to or what was going to happen. We felt that Mr. MaGee was knowledgeable and understanding of our situation. We would like to thank Mr. MaGee and his staff for their assistance and prompt filing with the court.
Again, Many Thanks............ Ron and Kathy
