Description: Represented a client accused of a felony VUCSA (Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act) for the possession of methamphetamine. Lauren negotiated with the prosecutor and was able to get the charge amended to a gross misdemeanor. Client did not have to serve any time in jail, did not have to enroll in treatment classes, and there was no probation imposed. Successful result: amendment to a lesser charge which would not affect his ability to vote and ability to receive financial aid from the State.
