Christopher Brooks was very responsive to my concerns and kept me informed on the progress that was made.
I moved to Oregon and needed to have my living trust and other estate planning documents reviewed so that my trust, living will, powers of attorney, etc ere consistent with Oregon law. Chris took an incredible amount of time answering my questions and explaining, in a way I could understand, what changes we were making. Whether we met in person, talked on the phone, or communicated through emails, he always responded in a reasonable amount of time, often with more questions for me, so that in the end, my plan would be how I wanted it to be. I am at a point in my life where I want to understand what I'm specifying and agreeing to before signing, and Chris was very patient in working with me to ensure that I understood and would be satisfied with our decisions. Estate planning is one of the most important tools available to us to take care of not only our loved ones but ourselves, so it is not to be taken lightly. I can easily conclude by saying that I felt I was extremely fortunate to have chosen McVittie -Law PC and to have been able to work with Chris. I have all the confidence in him that he will continue to be a great lawyer.
Ordinarily having a Living Trust prepared is a bit like going to the dentist....not something high on our list. But with visions of forms, paperwork, rules, and procedures we headed off to meet with Chris Brooks and he put our concerns to rest. He quickly gathered the information he needed and effortlessly walked us through the decisions in a thorough and professional manner. We are confident that we have a Living Trust that will stand the test of time, and avoid problems for our family down the road.
