Matthew Crider guided me though two difficult law suits with favorable results both times. Due to his thorough preparation and attention to details both cases were settled to my satisfaction without going to trial. He has my highest recommendation.
Posted by a Family client,
I have had the opportunity to work with Matthew in a very difficult situation and he has thoroughly surpassed my expectations! He has the utmost integrity & has a great understanding of people's needs, which is very important in what he does! He kept me thoroughly informed about my case. I was impressed. In the past, my experience with other lawyers and their office staff has been horrible! But not this time. I would recommend Matthew without reservation to anyone that I know.

Matt runs a small one man office with peeling paint, an extremely small waiting room, and a secretary who would consistently give me the run around. His secretary repeatedly lied to me about my case, when Matt was in the office and many, many communication issues over the time I hired him. He has no "sacramento office", thats just a rented conference room. He tires to beat around the bush with it and have you use only his Davis office.
During the first week Matt filed court papers incorrectly, thus being denied. He then told me the court denied items for "there our reasons" not that he didn't turn int he proper papers. During the second and third week Matt repeatedly avoided my calls, was "out of the office" and was not doing anything positive on my case. By the fourth week I decided to terminate his services due to constant communication issues and his lack of abilities to do anything to help me with my case.
During the time that I terminated his service I had numerous problems. First Matt attempted to bill me for the time I spent to terminate him (according to his contact you must terminate him in person), while that was not enough I needed Matt to give my file to my new attorney which he then charged me again for, after he had already been terminated. Matt took almost a full week on an extremely fast moving case with no communication with me or my new attorneys. Once Matt had used up my full retainer I told him that I wanted funds back due to him charging after he was terminated. I had to write letters attempting to recover any money I could. After threading to sue and complain against his license I was lucky to get back roughly half.
I do have very serious disabilities and Matt clearly tried to take advantage of that plus the fact of how nasty my divorce has been. He is a ethically, morally and finically corrupt attorney who should not be allowed to practice law, anywhere. I could not describe a worse attorney, Matt is the worst of attorneys!

I first met Matthew Crider at a business boot camp and he spoke to us about the legal side of starting a business. He also offered a voucher for a free 2 hour consult. So even though he was 2 hours away I took him up on his offer. He was very down to earth and easy to relate to, without confusing me with a lot of legal terminology. I came a way very impressed with his knowledge and honesty so I have retained him as my attorney and am very pleased with his service.
