I met Cameron while working at the District Attorney's office, and referred several people to his firm (all had very high regards for how Cameron handled their issues). He really supported my niece on a sentencing issue after the public defender did a pretty poor job on it. We really appreciate all he did to help, going above and beyond, and his presence really helped calm our nerves and brought some sanity back into her life.... Cameron is an excellent attorney!

When I walked in to meet with Cameron Bowman for the first time, my world had been turned upside down. I was scared, embarrassed and drowning in emotion. Cameron was incredibly empathetic and compassionate while being professional. I remember him saying to me, "you look like you've seen a ghost. You're going to get through this. It's going to be okay." I could not see the end of that tunnel during that meeting, but at least he gave me hope. My process was long and complicated. I watched Cameron navigate the DA's office and the DMV with skill and patience. He knew everyone by name. They knew him by name and they took him seriously when he argued my case. It was abundantly clear to me that he was fighting both on my behalf and on the principles of the matter. He was passionate and knowledgeable. Cameron was available to me by email and phone whenever I needed him. He let me know what was going on and what to expect.
As a former football player, I know that the best head coaches are those who have worked with both offense and defense. Cameron has done that. He worked at the DA's office for 15 years. He was one of their elite trial attorneys. He now uses that experience and knowledge for the benefit of those who are being prosecuted by the very office for which he used to work. He knows what he's doing. He has my highest recommendation.

Let me start by saying that I am a lawyer who works within the criminal justice system. It was almost painful for me to watch someone else do "my" job, but it gives me the unique opportunity to give you an honest impression that distinguishes the good from the bad. Many people don't know that Cameron Bowman was a highly distinguished prosecutor within the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office. He was on the special operations and homicide teams and he was the felony trial attorney of the year in the late 90s. That means he was the most impressive trial attorney out of the 180 trial attorneys the DA employs. It's a BIG deal.
Fundamentally, you have to understand that criminal cases get resolved in one of three ways: dismissal, settlement, or trial. There are no other options. You will get nowhere on any of those fronts if you can't try a case. DAs won't dismiss or settle cases against sloppy attorneys because they know they can win at trial. They will push forward on cases where they know the defense attorney is lazy or incompetent. They can't do that with Cameron Bowman. He can try circles around most attorneys in this County. That kind of experience is invaluable. It gives him and incredibly unique perspective. He won't make you unrealistic promises, but instead, will guide you through the process. He'll let you know what you can do to improve your own situation and he'll do what he can to manage it. He is well respected by the judges and the prosecutors in this County. And if push comes to shove, there is no one you'd rather have represent you when 12 members of the community are going to decide your fate.

In the Beginning when I hired Mr.Bowman I felt like it was the right choice, then fastfoward to now, not at all. He was very helpful in the beginning and keeping in contact after that not at all, I had to call multiple times to get an answer and sometimes would not get a call back. If I could go back, I would have never hired him. If you hire him and you feel like you are being ignored at any point or time, hire a new lawyer to finish your case!

To start off, mine was a very complicated and one of the most complex cases. There were many accusations and allegations. I was on the verge of collapse and i was completely devastated. To give you an analogy, Cameron was the helping hand for a sinking boat. From the day i stepped into Cameron's office and met with Cameron, he listened to me with patience and empathy. He comforted and consoled me. He explained to me the steps involved. He attacked the problem methodically and meticulously. In every step of the way, he knew exactly what he should do and what i should do. He gave me homeworks, assignments, things that i should do between the court dates. I could clearly see that he was incrementally and slowly building up the case and things started to make sense. I could see that there could be some light at the end of the tunnel. I could clearly see that between the court dates, Cameron worked very hard to understand the complex nature of the case and the various dependencies, issues and things involved. He was very well prepared for the court dates and he knew what could be the potential outcome of each court date. He was very thorough in everything and all the documentation. Everytime i was getting depressed and confused and falling down, he was giving me support and encouraging me to stay positive. Just his presence, or the time spent talking with Cameron gave me enormous amount of courage and confidence to face the monstrous and huge challenge that was in front of me. Finally, Cameron got me the best result and best outcome that is possible. He did not lost sight of the end goal and strived hard to get me better than what he promised. Many times i would not understand what was going on with the court or the documents or with the entire process. Cameron patiently walked me through everything, made me understand everything and literally guided me from agony to success, from pain to positivity and from darkness to light, from misery to hope. I want to thank Cameron from the bottom of my heart for doing everything he did, giving me the best possible outcome, for making a change for the better in my life and in short, for saving my life.

Just like the title explains, you will receive the best when dealing with Cameron Bowman. He has always been up front with me since day one. Being that this was my first case ever, him and his team walked me through each step and explaining what would happen. He never sugar coated anything no lead me wrong and always kept my family informed with what was happening in the case. He even went the extra mile and setup a court date on Christmas Eve to get me out on bail so I could spend Christmas with my family. I'm very thankful to have Cameron Bowman representing me and would DEFINITELY recommend him to anyone looking for a lawyer.

I have never hired an attorney before. I went through the Criminal justice system once before with a public defender. This time around, living out of state, I knew I would need help. I did my research and was very thorough, After looking around, reading reviews, I decided to fill out a form online to speak with an Attorney with VIB law.
Less than an hour later, I got an email from Cameron Bowman. From the moment he emailed me, I felt that he was the PERFECT attorney for my needs. I am still currently going through my case but I know in my heart he has my best interest in his. I suffer from extreme anxiety and have panic attacks frequently. I knew going through this situation alone or without a retained attorney would not work for me, especially being out of state.
I must say, I have never been more impressed with ANYONE in my life. Not only is he an AMAZING attorney who has guided me through the system with such compassion and respect, but he knows his stuff. He has never left me feeling lost, alone or in the dark about any part of my case. If I ever need to get in touch with him he is always available really quickly via email, and if not his paralegal Johanna has been there to give me any help I have needed. They are an amazing team.
This has been a long process, but I feel that I have more than an attorney, but an advocate who was been fighting for me since day one. He has helped me fight this case from another state, always has given me support and never left me feeling unsure or lost about anything. He is an AMAZING attorney, with SO much experience. Given the fact that he was a DA for years, he knows BOTH sides of the fence and has a strategy for everything. I really don't think that I could go through this without him. In my mind I feel at ease knowing I have not only an AMAZING attorney who is well respected, but a compassionate one who REALLY cares about his clients. There is NO other option for an attorney in my opinion. He and his team are really the best you can get, and he has amazing rates. I never feel like it is about money, or feel that I am not getting my monies worth, in fact I feel he has surpassed what I expected for his rates. Thank you Cameron for everything you have done, and continue to do to fight for me. You are truly the most amazing attorney that one could ever hope for and I have complete faith in you as far as my case goes. Please, anyone in need of an attorney in a criminal defense situation, call his office and set up an appointment, you will not only be thankful, but you will feel confident that you have the best fighting on your side. Nothing can ever express the gratitude I have for everything you have done for me and my case. There REALLY is justice in the system, you just need the RIGHT advocate, and this man is the one. Trust me, this was the BEST decision I have ever made. If you are reading this, know that I will never forget this, and always refer anyone in need of services to you. You are the BEST!

Cameron Bowman is my savior. From the beginning he and his office put me at ease and took care of me. I felt comfortable with him from the very beginning. He was open and honest with me, and gave me every scenario that could come up. He never made me false promises, and never guaranteed me anything. He did tell me his is good at what he does, and I believed every word. And you know what HE WAS RIGHT!!! Given his background and presence in the community he knows the right things to do for his clients. I am so grateful that I was referred to his office and I was able to hire him for my needs. I never plan to need him again but if I do he will be on my speed dial!!

Mr. Bowman and his staff were extremely professional, informed, responsive, friendly and ever so very helpful.
Mr. Bowman had my jail requirement dropped and my probationary period reduced from 3 years to an informal probation of one year.
I highly recommend hiring Mr. Bowman (VIP-Attorneys at Law).

As a current client I had retained Cameron Bowman's services because of his exemplary knowledge and experience litigating 3 strikes cases in Santa Clara county and the reputation of excellence with the V.I.B. law firm. As well his experience as a former Santa Clara County DA paid major dividends in fighting my case still to this day. I was facing no less than 9 years with a max of 25 to Life on 3rd strike charges due to multiple drug felonies.
With his skills and connections within the system he was not only able to get all my strikes waved eliminating my high risk level which the DA would not budge on, but Mr. Bowman fought to get me the lowest min. sentence allowed by law and got my bail dropped to O.R. status, that's practically unheard of with 3 strikes cases. His professionalism sets himself apart from most criminal attorneys I've experienced in San Jose, and I've gone through quite a few.
The way he continually handles the DA and Judge to postpone sentencing has been remarkable.
I would highly recommend Mr. Bowman to anyone facing any 3 strikes or serious criminal felonies in Santa Clara County. If you want to stay out of jail, then Mr. Bowman is your man!
