Practice Area:Criminal Defense

Outcome:(Not available)

Description:Charge: Client P. Gonzales was arrested for a Three Strikes Burglary Case and faced a 25-to-life sentence. Prior to trial, the judge offered him 14 years in State Prison, warning him it could mean a life sentence if he lost at trial. Defense: Through researching the facts of the case, it was evident that due to a long history of drug abuse and head injuries, our client did not intend to commit the crime. Result: In February 2008, in the San Jose Courthouse, P. Gonzales was offered a misdemeanor charge during the first trial. He was sentenced to credit for time served and was sent home.
