Description: We took over this family law case at a time when our client, while self represented, had a court appointed referee's recommendation against him for reimbursement called child support at nearly $160,000.00. We set aside the referee recommendation as there were serious due process violations. We obtained an attorney fee order against Mother. Through our investigation and litigation, we determined that the far majority of Mother's reimbursement claims were not reimbursable. We believed her claims to be frivolous. Mother dismissed the entirety of her reimbursement claim, paid Father $15,000.00 in lawyer's fees and paid Father child support.
