I retained Mr. Wechsler to assist me in crafting a response to some followup questions regarding my moral character application with the California bar.
His service was excellent. He knew my analyst by name and was able to fully explain the moral character review process. He told me exactly how to respond to the questions and reviewed my work. When I responded, the committee not only approved my application, but also complimented me for it.
The MC process is anxiety-provoking and it's not transparent. I didn't find communications to the state bar to be intuitive; I think it in all but the simplest cases it probably takes some help to really do it right.
Mr. Wechsler served on the committee, and that's clear when you speak with him. I found this helpful because it really illustrated how the committee thinks and what they are looking for. He's thorough and inquisitive. Since you're generally talking about things that aren't fun, that means talking with him isn't always fun, but the end result makes it worth it.
Once I got the news that I would be appearing before the California State Bar Moral Character Committee, I knew I didn't want to roll the dice on my own, I knew I needed to be prepared - this was my career hanging in the balance. I met with Zach a few times before my meeting, in which he was brutally honest with me about what I might face in the meeting and the additional requirements and hoops I may have to jump through. He prepared me for the tough questions I might face in a straightforward and honest way, which I appreciated. When it came time for my in-person meeting before the committee, I was adequately prepared. In the end, the committee wasn't as hard on me as we anticipated, but I was happy to be prepared for the worst. I also found that Zach's connections and relationships eased communication with the people processing my file, which was also appreciated. I am happy to say my moral character was cleared and I am now a practicing (and extremely grateful) attorney.
I had a serious issue I needed to disclose and address in my moral character application during the admission process to the State Bar of California. Zach not only represented me to completion and admission to the Bar, I could not possibly have faced my issues and made a personal transformation if not for his help. Zach knows what has to be done in such cases, it's up to you to carry out the rehabilitation and making amends for transgressions, but if you follow his advice, you will no doubt maximize your chances of admission. I am forever grateful to Zach for a life-changing opportunity. Thank you Zach.
Mr. Wechsler quickly help me with serveral issues with excellent results. I strongly recommend his services.

Needless to say, through his sound advice on how to mitigate the situation and through his effective advocacy, he was able to obtain the best possible outcome for me. He was very professional, responsive and forthright throughout this whole process. I highly recommend him.
