Description: Phoenix car accident occurred when Harry and Susie Kaneshige were visiting from Ohio to Phoenix, Arizona. Susie was in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Harry was minding his own business when all of a sudden the bed of a truck landed on top of his vehicle, literally on Harry's head. Harry required brain surgery. Mr. Avnell was working for Crete Corporation at the time of the accident. Crete Corporation is a trucking company. It was contested whether Mr. Avnell fell asleep at the wheel because he had worked over the federal regulated number of hours for truck drivers. The case settled just before trial for a cofidential amount.
