State of Texas v. C.S.D.

Case Conclusion Date: 07.13.2010

Practice Area: Criminal Defense

Outcome: No-Bill by a Grand Jury

Description: My client was charged with felony evading arrest in a motor vehicle. The allegation was that the officer attempted to stop him and he continued traveling on the freeway for 4-5 miles before finally exiting. The officer then alleged that he refused to get out of his car and smelled of alcohol and that there was alcohol in the vehicle. We were able to convince a Grand Jury to no-bill the case based on the client's testimony that he did not know the officer was trying to pull him over and he stopped at the first exit he could. We will soon file to have the case expunged from his record.
