Mr. Spencer notified me when there was something I needed to know about my case and did not milk my wallet contacting me when there was nothing new to share. In court, it was apparent he had developed a positive relationship with the judges based upon his character as an attorney and I am confident that his reputation with my judge was a positive factor in the favorable outcome of my case. In terms of knowledge base, he knew how to apply the law to my case and accomplish my goals in the least expensive manner. I hired him to do a job, not to be my buddy and have weekly chats. His billing was equivalent to his years of experience and there were times he did not bill me at all when other attorney's would have. Everything takes forever in Tarrant County Courts. It is easy to blame the attorney for things beyond their control. Mr. Spencer is a compassionate, down to earth attorney that will handle you with professionalism and honesty. There were occassions when it seemed my legal needs had been forgotten, but he always addressed them in the end and there was always a legitimate reason for any delays in handling issues in my case. I have and will continue to refer friends and family to Mr. Spencer. However, I always tell them two things: Court time is not the same as real time and there are always going to be complicating legal factors that may leave you dismayed with the way your case is being handled. My case became very complicated and expensive, but Mr. Spencer never abandoned me and he was willing to work with me on payments. In working with other attorneys in the past, I can honestly say the most positive experience I've had among all of them has been with Mr. Spencer. Beyond handling my case, I would add that he is a person of integrity. He won't tolerate a client that lies, is greedy, or hell bent on simply destroying the other party in your case. As a family law attorney, he will remain focused on the best interests of the children. Regarding a divorce, he will be upfront with you about how the law will apply to community property and help you determine a realistic bottom line to pursue in court. Finally, Mr. Spencer does not have complete control over how your case ends, the judge does.

I hired this lawyer for a simple modification case. After 10 month I had to hire another lawyer who settled this case in my favor in several weeks. Mr. Spencer wasted a great deal of my time and money and I would not recommend this person to anyone. His entire team fails to communicate at all but are quick to invoice. I feel he spent entirely too much time trying to be friends with the other lawyer and listening to the drama of an angry ex spouse and not enough time practicing law.

I have custody and moved from Tn to Tx. Ex was going for custody, b/c she didn't want to pay 9k in child support (got pissed and filed for custody after OAG started garnishing wages). Met with Keith on 2 occasions and multiple emails. Pretty obvious that she wasn't going to win custody. I wanted an increase in child support b/c of her new job and insurance premiums went from $140 in Tennessee to $280 in Texas. Old support was a few yrs old. Was told, "Oh, yea...we can do that". Well, he didn't do anything and cost me $5k plus dollars to do nothing! He never even filed an increase for me!!! Don't know about the firm, but he is worthless! Guess he was too busy being an exec VP and on the radio than to defend his clients best interests!
