I don't agree with the negative reviews I have read on David Swaim and his law firm.
Although my citizenship case was pretty complicated, he did a wonderful job handling it. Acquiring my U.S. citizenship was only a distant dream for me originally, but with his consistent guidance the entire process turned out to be very smooth. I am truly grateful for his support. David is extremely skilled at law and on how to deal with the federal agencies. He undertook great effort, including making visits to the local USCIS office to make sure the case was taken care of. He was very kind and courteous, and showed a lot of concern towards my case. I would certainly recommend him to anybody and everybody. Tidwell, Swaim & Associates has the most knowledgeable and diligent lawyers any client could ask for! From me and my whole family we want to thank you for doing wonderful work.

Our company retained TSA and David Swaim to process an H-1 petition and change of status for a recent SMU graduate. TSA handled the process with expertise, outstanding client service and made us feel as if they were their only client (although they process hundreds every year). We hired the firm because they have been exclusively practicing immigration law since 1978 and we wanted that level of experience. We were also pleasantly surprised by how efficient and supportive the firm was throughout the process. I highly recommend any employer take advantage of the experience and care you receive with at TSA. I note that on their website they state they have successfully represented over 40,000 clients over the last 35 years, but we felt like we were the only client they had.

I asked David Swaim to represent one of my employees 16 years ago . The case will be finalized this month . I have 16 years of experience and could not recommend David's firm higher . It is because of his personal interest and involvement in the case that we prevailed over that long period of time . The government doesn't make it easy , but David always found a way to continue even when we hit the wall . I employed him for 16 years and would do it again in a minute .

I don’t recommend him. I fired him, even if I lost a significant part of my money, but it was all worthy it in the long run. He failed to provide me with the information I requested. Moreover, he simply didn’t care about my case at all. After he rushed me to hire and pay him, he left for vacation and left my case in limbo! I found David Swaim unprofessional. Save your money and hire a lawyer who gets involved and does the job he gets paid to do.

I would not be able to express how upset I feel about this man in this simple review. He has absolutely no patience, which makes it hard to imagine how he continues to practice law in the first place since people go to him for comfort and advice. Our first meeting was rushed because he insisted that the package he would give us would have a detailed list of things we were suppose to gather. This list took me 3 months to complete, during that time I emailed him asking for various questions I had come up with after reading the package he had giving me. He's response was to just drop of the package at his front desk. Even though I was not happy with the limited attention he showed, I decided to continue my pursuit for his help because I understood that his schedule was probably super hectic, after all he is a lawyer. Once I had finally finished completing all the forms in his list and had gathered completely all the money his assistance required, I went to the office to "drop off" the package. Thinking this would be a great opportunity to ask him a simple question in person, after he ignored me via internet I asked the receptionist if she could kindle ask Swain to speak to me for 5 seconds because I needed to ask him a quick question. As she did, to later come back to me and tell me that there was no need to fill out everything. At this point I wasn't as concerned to fill out the papers as I was to get some interaction/ answer from Swain himself, and I insisted her to speak to him because I did not feel comfortable leaving without getting to speak to him. I explained that I had tried to email him and I did not want to miss the opportunity to have him a few feet away. I think she understood my persistence, and went on back to talk to him. Once he came out, Swain was irritated and came to me asking "what the problem was." I told him that I just needed to ask him a simple question. I honestly just needed to feel like all the money I would pay would pay for some assurance and attention from him. He was so rude and impatient, he could have been begging me to stop bothering him with my case. I am not sure how he could work for anyone. He never answered any of my questions... I strongly advice anyone to go to someone else because you would just end up bothering him. Your money could be used for someone who cares and explains everything you need to know.

David Swaim Jr., need a serious customer service training, he lost his grip several times over a simple questions that we need a simple yes and no answers. And when he answer a question he answer them with phrases like and I quote "I believe we have reached a point where the tail has been wagging the donkey for too long" he was rude and un professional. When we needed him the most he answer with I already told you that the first day we meet, as if I remember everything that we talk 5 months ago, we are normal customers with simple questions and we are NOT attorneys or we didn't study immigration law to know everything. I didn't understand his bad attitude. I hope he can review his work and make changes for future customers that seriously I DON'T recommended to anyone.

I was in a crisis regarding H-1B and my company and its lawyer was kind of hostile towards me not giving my immigration papers and when asked for it revoking my H-1B, etc. David Swaim gave me advice whenever I had a query. Later I found out that he has a much better Avvo rating compared to some others I knew. I am not sure whether he could have helped me if he would have been my attorney but his communication was very very supportive. God bless him!
