Biography
Roy Petty is in his 19th year of hosting "La Hora Legal" (Legal Hour), a Spanish language radio program advising immigrants on important issues in immigration and consumer rights. The program airs in the Dallas metroplex.
Roy has worked to stop those who illegally practice immigration law and have defrauded immigrants. He has obtained restitution for his clients from illegal immigration consultants and from unscrupulous lawyers.
Roy has testified in federal court as an expert witness in immigration matters on behalf of the Texas Attorney General and the Federal Public Defenders Office.
He has litigated complex immigration cases in federal court and the Courts of Appeals. Through his cases, the Dallas Immigration Office no longer may deny naturalization because of one or more DWI offenses.
With 26 years of experience, Roy Petty is Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has litigated naturalization and citizenship cases in federal courts; and through his litigation, has overturned residency and naturalization denials.

Bad customer service
I'm glad I didn't hire him. If you have a question or anything they takes days to call you back. And then you will have to pay for another consultation even if you have already payed for one.

Replied last October 13, 2020I am sorry that you are angry that we could not give you a second consultation free of charge. We never charge clients to meet with them, but you are not our client. I reviewed our call logs and you called Thursday at 4pm, an hour before we close, inquiring about whether the attorney thought that you needed a second consultation. We are closed Fridays. We returned your call at 9am Saturday when our office reopened. You decided not to schedule a consultation because of the $50 consultation fee. Our call logs show that you called to schedule the first consultation at 1:15pm Monday the week before. We took your call. We have no other record of your calls.
