I was so stressed out about having to file bankruptcy. I searched the Internet looking for a lawyer in my area to no avail. I didn't want a "cookie cutter" lawyer or law firm. Initially, I skipped over Sulaimam because I erroneously thought we had to be in the same county. Well very soon after I saw them on the Web, I received a letter from them. I took this as a sign that they could indeed help me. From my first meeting with Charles Majeski, I felt comfortable and secure that I was in capable "hands". They took me from bankruptcy to providing the resources to rebuild my credit! My score has increased more than 200 points since I filed. Sulaiman an also represented me in a case against a creditor who'd violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I received a statutory award as a result. I have nothing but good things to say about these guys...they're FANTASTIC!
My husband and I are very pleased with our service. Mr. Sulaiman is a very kind and knowledgable individual. Our meeting with him was better than we expected, he gave us a peace of mind and we are very thankful for him.
My wife and I consulted with Mr. Sulaiman about a pending foreclosure. We were so scared! Mr. Sulaiman and his team at Sulaiman Law Group immediatley set us at ease. Mr. Sulaiman at first asked us what OUR GOALS were, and then listened to us and gave us a plan. He clearly explained every detailed aspect of both the foreclosure and the Chapter 13 bankruptcy. On a few occasions, we had some questions, and we forwarded them to Mr. Sulaiman. Mr. Sulaiman quickly returned our calls and answered our questions and made us feel that we had someone in our corner that was with us.
Our circumstances changed, and it turned out we didn't need to file Chapter 13 to save our home, but if we did, we would have been very happy to move forward with Mr. Sulaiman and the Sulaiman Law Group.
I would recommend anyone who is in a foreclosure and/or a bankruptcy situation, do yourself a favor and go to Sulaiman Law Group. They are a great team who know the intricacies of this area of law.
I hope my story will help you if you are facing foreclosure or stuck in a high interest or underwater mortgage.
I purchased my condo in 2005 at the peak of the market in Chicago. I was paying a high interest rate due to some credit issues that I had years prior. I was assured by my mortgage banker that if I could raise my credit score, I could refinance into a lower interest loan. I lived in the condo for 5 years and despite repeated attempts at refinancing, I was always declined due to not enough equity, or the best was when I was told I “could afford the high interest rate because I was making over $100,000 a year.”
I continued to pay faithfully, hoping something would change in the future. In the meantime, the market tanked, more than half of the units in my building went into foreclosure, and I found myself more than $150,000 underwater on a $255,000 loan. I had since married and was living with my husband, and my unit was a rental. The rent I was paying was only covering less than half of my monthly expenses.
After discussing with my husband, we made the decision to stop paying the mortgage and let the property go into foreclosure. I felt embarrassed and like a loser, but it was time to stop throwing good money at a bad situation. When I finally received the official notice of foreclosure/sheriff’s sale, I also received a letter stating that my lender would pursue a deficiency judgement against me for the difference between the loan amount and the sale price. So after 9 years of paying a mortgage, I would be left without a property and a $150,000 lawsuit? I decided I needed help fast.
Through a Google search, I found Sulaiman Law Group. The reviews were outstanding, and I decided to set up a consultation. From my first phone call to every conversation after, the employees and attorneys were nothing but exceptionally kind and professional. My consultation was with Ahmad Sulaiman. He very patiently laid out all of my options and explained everything in detail, until he had answered all of my questions and I felt comfortable that my situation was not as hopeless as I had once thought.
I hired Sulaiman and they immediately began working on my case. I was assigned to work with attorney Nathan Volheim, also extremely patient, kind and professional throughout the process. I had to wait several months to see if the lender accepted our proposed plan, and I was so excited to get the phone call from Nathan… it worked! I was going to be free of this overwhelming burden once and for all.
After my case was finalized, I was invited to meet with Nasim Ghebari about the process of rebuilding my credit. Sulaiman offers a service that can help with writing the letters, send in credit disputes and following up on the process. I gladly signed up for the service and less than 4 months later, my credit score has improved and I have actually MADE money in the process.
Please take the time to meet with Suilaman Law Group. You don’t have to feel helpless, and they will show you how it feels to be the one in control of your financial future!

I bought a condo in 2004 when real estate was on the rise. I saw the value of my condo go up $30,000+ the first number of years and felt really good about this real estate investment. Unfortunately in 2008/2009 the financial crash happened. The value of my condo dropped drastically to the point that I owed a lot more than what my place was worth (difference of 50,000+). I made multiple attempts to sell my condo to no avail. I didn't like the feeling of being financially stressed out and stuck with this 'underwater mortgage'.
After exhausting all of my options I decided to make an appointment with Sulaiman Law Group. I met with Ahmad and he explained to me that there's hope and that I have options. Ahmad was very detailed in explaining all of the options I had at my disposal. He established a path/plan to follow based on my personal financial situation. Based on his expert advice I decided to execute a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy plan. While my credit reports and scores took a hit in the bankruptcy process the end result was being able to break free of the 'underwater mortgage' and not being liable for the mortgage debt/property taxes. This has removed the financial stress and put me in the best financial position that I've ever been in my life. I'm able to breathe easy and fully enjoy my life again!
I also hired Sulaiman Law Group to provide post-bankruptcy PDL support to assist me in the process of rebuilding/repairing my credit reports and scores. This and the 720 Credit Score program have been great benefits/tools to guide me through the post-bankruptcy process.
To summarize I wanted to personally thank Ahmad and his professional, experienced, hard working, multitasking team (Charles, Christina, Dan, Elvia, Gina, Mara, Mohammed, Molly and Nasim) in guiding me towards financial freedom that I never thought was possible.

Ahmad was friendly and very helpful. I felt I came away with new knowledge and empowerment to handle my situation. I have a much better understanding of the law and my rights. Yes, he actually explained the law and how it works in terms and examples that the average person could understand. I would definitely recommend him to everyone! The best experience I have had with an attorney ever! Thank you Ahmad!

I owned a home that was supposed to be a "starter home" which I bought in 2000. As time passed, things changed and I got married. It was time to move. The home was small and the neighborhood became crime ridden. I called a realtor and was told I would be lucky to get $40,000 for the home I owed over $100,000 on. I heard the commercials for Sullaiman Law and was curious but apprehensive. We explored every option- selling, renting, short sale, staying, using a company to rent and sell. Nothing seemed to solve our problem. I met with Ahmed and was very impressed. My wife and I were at the end of our rope and we hired Sullaiman Law. I had some debt but was managing the payments. I have never missed a payment or been late and had good credit. I was given my options up front and decided to file bankruptcy to get out my under water mortgage. I had to file Chapter 13. We are now living in a brand new home we built. My monthly payments in my Chapter 13 are over $500 less than my minimum payments on my credit cards and loans were. I am paying my debtors 100% of what I owed so I have no guilt. I kept my car. Yes- my other home will be foreclosed on and my credit was impacted. The impact was minimal. The mortgage company will get the house I no longer wanted and couldn't sell and I won't owe a dime and don't have a tax liability. My debt will be gone in 5 years at a much lower monthly payment than I was making. All my questions are answered. My emails are responded to. I am happy, comfortable, in a new home in a nice neighborhood and will be debt free in several years. Sullaiman Law even has someone to review your credit report and ensure that it is accurate. Charles Magerski is the attorney handling my case and he has been attentive and professional. I wish I would have called them years ago. If you have an underwater mortgage and need to get out of it, call them. Let go of your fears and do what you know you will have to anyways. These guys are awesome and know what they are doing. You won't be sorry.

Delivering Excellence is the first thing that came to mind when I had to think of a title for this review. I came to Ahmad Sulaiman a little over 2 years ago with a complicated real estate dilemma and sat with him and his colleagues for a consultation. Their recommendation and advise was not what I thought it would be but their rational and logic for it gave me the confidence to trust their guidance and direction. I took their advise ad over the past two years, not only did everything work out the way they anticipated it would, it has even been better. Why do I say delivering excellence? Many reasons...including but not limited to the following: They laid out a strategy with details and explanations, prepared he plan, execued it and were always available to me for answers to my many questions. My real estate problems are gone and I have peace of mind, security and am on a firm foundation for the future. Sulaiman law group knows the consumer finance industry, protects its clients and delivers excellence. I am grateful for the collective work Ahman and his team have done for me and I recommend them to anyone in need.

I met with Mr. Sulaiman to discuss a number of issue with my foreclosure, potential deficiencies and debt on a second mortgage. If you are facing any of these issue, PLEASE do yourself a favor and make an appointment to speak with this man - even if you have spoken to other attorneys. I met with other attorneys & it seemed like all they wanted to do was pressure me into signing a retainer to file for Chapter 13. Not Mr. Sulaiman, he listened to my situation, explained my options, and told me not to think about BK - it was not necessary. He knows the laws & can offer options and guidance. It is obvious that this man is in profession to help people and not to fill his pockets. He is passionate about the law and about helping the client and that reflected in our meeting. He entire staff is very professional and make do their best to make you feel very comfortable (Thank you Carmen - you are aces in my book). It is my pleasure to give Mr. Sulaiman and his firm a positive review.
