I was charged with OVI (with 2 priors), Refusal, and Speeding. It only took one court appearance and I plead guilty to Speeding, 2 points on my license and the automatic license suspension AND OVI were dismissed.
I feel like I have a second chance to make sure this never happens again! Pat Quinn is the man!

If you have received a DUI/OVI and are not sure where to turn, contact Patrick Quinn......immediately. I received an OVI at 4:00am on Memorial Day weekend and was due in court a few days later. Not sure where to turn, I started look online and learned that the only thing that most attorneys cared about was my financial situation if they even called me back at all. Speaking with some friends who had dealt with a similar issue, I was told to contact Patrick and he would have my OVI reduced. I was told that he was not cheap but he would provide the results that I needed. Since I drive for a living, a positive outcome was critical to my career and financial future. I called Patrick on Monday and he took the time to discuss my case and set expectations on what we would be dealing with as well as the cost. He price was reasonable, he was direct and honest and I agreed to move forward with his services. Let me be clear - he provided me with more service and better service than I could have ever expected. He knows everyone in the court system and has a great working relationship with the Judges and Prosecutors. He is highly respected and although he's very smart, he takes the time to help you understand what to expect as you move through the court process. He took every avenue to fight my case which was complex and did not look very promising since I did not perform a breathalyzer. After several court appearances, Patrick was able to have my OVI reduced - thus saving my job and career. If you are ever in need of a DUI/OVI attorney and you are fortunate enough to come across this article - the smartest thing that you can do (other than not drinking and driving) is to contact Patrick. I recommend that you do it quickly since time is of the essence - especially when you are dealing with an OVI. Good luck.

First off, this is the review after the court case was settled. Please refer to "July 2" for my initial review...
On August 09, 2015, the court case was handled. I was originally pulled over for no display of front plate and OVI refusal. At Mr. Quinn's advice, I plead guilty to Physical Control (Minor Misdemeanor) and was sentenced to pay the max fine. No points were assessed and my drivers license was restored.
During this time, and after...my employer(s) were threatening suspension and/or termination, Mr Quinn went out of his way to file additional motions on my behalf to help secure my employment.
Mr. Quinn was direct, very knowledgeable and effective throughout the entire process! He represented me extremely well and sought the best possible outcome for me in my situation! I would have liked to seen this whole matter dropped completely...but wouldn't we all? Mr. Quinn was right from the beginning...he told be to trust him and not to lose sleep over this...although I did (and still am), I now understand why he advised that! He is a great lawyer and I would say unconventional, in that he will do exactly what is required...even if it means a house call, after-hours call, additional court motions and extra time to see the matter through with you. Whenever I called him, his return phone calls were prompt and to the point. When motions needed to be filed, generally they were all same day! Mr. Quinn is an excellent lawyer and if you wind up needing an OVI Specialist and have a professional job (or not even)...this is the man you want representing you! Thanks Mr. Quinn for everything!!!

I was arrested for an OVI on July 26th, 2015 and enlisted Pat for legal defense. The circumstances of my case were bleak: I was pulled over for driving the wrong way down a one way street, bombed the field sobriety tests, and blew a 0.192 at the station which put me in the high tier OVI category. With all of this, the state had a rock solid case against me. The only things I had going for me was that this was the first time I’ve been arrested, otherwise have a clean record, and was cooperative with the arresting officer.
I’m in a very junior position in a field in which this type of charge can have huge consequences. I was looking at future with limited upward career trajectory, embarrassing public disclosure to colleagues and superiors of a conviction, and potential in-patient alcohol treatment costing up to $30,000 just to stay in the field.
After researching a number of lawyers in the Cleveland area, I called Pat’s office. I first talked with his staff and explained my situation. Within 20 minutes of my call, Pat called me from his cell phone and we discussed my options. After looking into a few other lawyers I decided to go with Pat based on his stellar record and reputation in OVI defense. Later that day, Pat drove to my house and we sat down and discussed the situation and my options.
Pat was very upfront about the outlook for my case (read: not good!). He recommended that we take a proactive approach to deal with things head on. I enrolled in a Driver Intervention Program (DIP) and took a voluntary alcohol and drug abuse assessment before my pre-trial hearing. Needless to say, I was very apprehensive going into the hearing. Pat was able to use his knowledge and reputation in the field as leverage and got my charge reduced to reckless operation. I paid a $1,000 fine to the court at the hearing and within 20 days of being arrested the matter was completely resolved. I took 4 points on my license, but I now have my driving privileges back in full, no record of any alcohol related charges, no party plates, nothing! This was the best possible outcome for me and went well beyond what I thought was plausible given my circumstances. When the judge read his sentence he cited Pat’s prowess and reputation in the field as one of the primary reasons for this deal with the prosecutor.
Throughout all of our interactions Pat was nothing but a straight shooter. He didn’t sugar coat anything, but treated me with respect and took the time to explain what was happening and how we were going to deal with it. He even took my calls (sometimes late at night) to personally answer questions I had about my case. If you or someone you know ever find yourself in the unwelcome circumstances of being charged with an OVI in the Cleveland area, hire this man to defend you! You won’t find a lawyer with more knowledge of how to beat an OVI charge or more respect from those on the other side of the bench. Hiring Pat was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Because of him I can now move on with my life without having to live down a poor decision that I will never make again.

I will start by saying that this happened July 2, 2015 and I am still in proceedings... I contacted Mr. Quinn the next day and he made a point to personally visit me at my home to discuss this matter! He made it very clear that he is an aggressive and very knowledgeable attorney that has specialized over the years in OVI arrests. He seems VERY knowledgeable, experienced and has the credentials of being a VERY VERY GOOD Lawyer! That being said, I am about only 19 days from arrest...so far, him and his staff are VERY informative and courteous, keeping me up to date on everything! I will definitely write another review when this ordeal is complete. What I can say right now is that Mr. Quinn is very smart and extremely qualified for the job! I had many resources and contacts and they have all led me to believe that he is highly skilled in OVI arrests. Like the other reviews, Mr. Quinn told me not to stress or worry....of course I'm not listening and I'm TOTALLY freaked out about this...I am trying. I have faith knowing that my lawyer is top notch and will help me the best that I can. He hasn't made any promises, like some may...which would be a red flag from the start! When I asked around and did my research, I can honestly say that I couldn't find a LPA with better experience, knowledge and reputation as Mr. Quinn. I move forward (stressed out of course) knowing that, which gives me probably the only relief to my nerves. I would DEFINITELY recommend him! I will post again when the results are in! Hope this helps and take care.

HIGHLY recommend!!! Mr. Quinn was extremely professional and very compassionate, instantly set my mind at ease. Told me with great confidence not to worry and now I know why he is excellent at what he does. Mr. Quinn was able to get a sentence reduce to a third of what I was expecting. His office staff is also exceptional and informative. If you have to get a lawyer I would say look no further you just found one.

When I first met Pat Quinn, it was the Sunday after my incident. He drove to my house and met with me. He explained everything he could offer me and how he would try to help me. This is before asking for a cent of money. The most important thing he told me that day was not to worry. That was a very hard thing not to do and of course I worried all through out the proceedings of my case. But he was right- he fought my case and got my charges greatly reduced. It was a relief and he was right, I shouldn't have wasted my time worrying.

What started with your typical Saturday evening out with friends ended in a not so typical arrest and a first time OVI. This was my first and only offense of any kind to date. Firstly, I will say being cooperative with the arresting officer can indeed be a wise choice, and fortunately in my case it certainly was. I had a few drinks, decided to drive home, and was distracted by my cell phone. Because of this distraction I went left of center and was subsequently pulled over. If in your arrest the officer had no probable cause for the stop the entire case could ultimately be dismissed. However, I was not as lucky. So after a brief conversation with the officer he requested that I exit my vehicle and that I perform a series of field sobriety tests to determine my level of impairment. They are as follows: the horizontal gaze nystagmus (HGN), the walk-and-turn (WAT) and the one-leg stand (OLS): Plainly spoken, attorney Patrick D Quinn is an expert in regards to these tests. As you will see, he has completed so much coursework from all over the country revolving these tests and all other things DUI/OVI related, that he could teach the police cadets how to perform and administer these tests himself. The flip side to this is that he is now exceptional at spotting out the mistakes that these officers so commonly make and in my case, he did just that. In regards to the HGN test, Attorney Patrick Quinn found the officer had administered this test incorrectly. In regards to the WAT test, I had completed the wrong number of steps but remained on the line with hands on my sides in its entirety. And in regards to the OLS, I had also passed without swaying or moving once. Of these three tests, I felt over all I had done fairly well, but nonetheless I was arrested there after. After being taken to the police station I consented to the breathalyzer test and blew a .13. The following day after the initial shock had worn off I began my search for the best DUI/OVI lawyer I could find. I had spoken with around thirty to forty attorneys in this time. After I had stumbled upon attorney Patrick Quinns website and upon further reading, I left an inquiry on his page for a consultation which I had received the very next day. Not only did he call me himself, he called me not from his office but from his mobile phone. He spoke with me for close to forty five minutes going over the intricacies of my case and told me exactly what he could do for me. He made no guarantees as you shouldn't in this business and after hearing the shear knowledge and confidence he displayed I decided to hire him thereafter. I had given much thought after being arrested to simply plead guilty, take my punishment, and move on from all of it entirely. But after speaking with attorney Patrick Quinn I knew I had to fight. After ninety days of numerous court hearings and pre-trials, he was able to get my OVI reduced to Physical Control, a zero point offense, a three day class, no jail time, and no suspension. He had weakened the prosecutors case by the results of the tests, my cooperative behavior, and the mishandling of evidence. He also accomplished this in a particular court system that is notorious for giving absolutely no special privilege for OVI/DUI offenders especially first time OVI/DUI offenders. He made such an impression that the judge himself, who especially dislikes these types of cases, commended him on how exceptionally well he had fought for me. Hiring him was undoubtedly one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. There's no way of knowing just how much he has helped me or my future, but I am undeniably and forever grateful for it. He gave me my life back and he can do the same for you. So if you ever find yourself in an unlucky position like I was, don't plead guilty. Don't hire someone cheap that's a fast talker and only cares about your money. You owe it to yourself to hire the best, and the best is attorney Patrick D Quinn. God bless. And good luck.
