Cynthia Jane Buell McGrae

Traditionally, men and women bring diferent life experiences, priorities, and concerns to divorce procedings.  I pride myself on being particularly attuned to the challenges women face. 

While in undergrad and graduate school I was employed as a rape counselor advocate, a peer counselor on the student crises hotline, and a volunteer at the local domestic violence shelter.  The frequent insensitivity I witnessed towards these women inspired me to attend law school. 

After graduating from the University of Michigan in 1995,  I worked as a prosecutor in the Domestic Violence Division, created and headed the Stalking Crimes Division, and ultimately worked in the Family Crimes Division.

I started Newton & McGrae with my business partner Mark Newton, who also has a passion for helping women.  We are currently Ohio's ONLY law firm for women.
