Summer is an AV rated, experienced criminal trial lawyer. She began her career as a criminal attorney in 2001 when she was a prosecutor for the State Attorney’s Office in Pinellas County, Florida. There, she prosecuted thousands of cases from the initial investigation with law enforcement through sentencing. As a prosecutor, Ms. Goldman helped many people accused of crimes avoid criminal charges altogether by making sure law enforcement did not violate a person’s constitutional rights during, before, or after arrest.
Ms. Goldman has spent the majority of her career defending individuals accused of crimes. In 2004, Ms. Goldman resigned from her position as Assistant State Attorney to devote her time to her true passion of helping others. As a criminal defense attorney, Ms. Goldman has represented clients who have been accused of a range of crimes from writing worthless checks, driving under the influence, theft, and indecent exposure to drug trafficking, embezzlement, lewd and lascivious molestation, and attempted murder. Regardless of the accusation or charge, Ms. Goldman is dedicated to defending the rights of her clients.
Ms. Goldman’s invaluable experience prosecuting people accused of crimes, combined with her extensive experience defending people accused of crimes, equals a winning combination for her clients.
Born in St. Petersburg, Florida, Summer’s ties to the community are strong. She is on the Board of Directors of Brookwood Florida, a therapeutic home for adolescent girls and mentors children through the non-profit organization, Lawyers for Literacy. Additionally, Ms. Goldman is a past-president of the Pinellas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
