Description: Defendant was charged with DUI homicide/Manslaughter after the vehicle he was riding in collided with a telephone pole, causing one of the occupants to be thrown from the vehicle and ultimately pass away as a result. Police observed defendant act unusual at the scene and smelled strongly of alcohol. The defendant was charged and was facing 12 to 30 years in state prison. Best & Associates took the case and underwent extensive discovery to determine who was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash by examining the vehicle, autopsy reports, and deposing all the traffic homicide officers and medical personnel.
