I was stupid enough to think I could drink and drive and not get caught or hurt myself or someone else, again! I received my 4th lifetime DUI. I talked to a few other attorney's who made promises of what they could do. I then contacted and hired Richard Lawson to represent me in my case. I was charged with public drunkenness when I decided to walk home from a bar. As I was in the military and studying for the bar exam, it could have had a serious impact on my future. Richard was my initial contact with his law firm, called me before any of the other attorneys I'd queried for assistance replied at all. This man got my potentialy Life altering case changed from a DUI to creating a hazardous condition which is a city ordinance that doesn't get reported on my criminal record or MVR. Being a truck driver, this incident could have ended my career and instead is a minor hiccup. The final result was no community service, no jail time, no loss of CDL, no DUI shcool or alchohol treatment classes. Just a $1200 fine and all was done. On top of it all, I forgot my court date (not recomended) and didn't show and he still got me all that. I hope I'm never in this situation again but I would definitely use him again.

Richard provided advise/consult for a out of state driving incident for my teen. He spent time with me explaining the process, ramifactions and guided me to an out of state attorney who could assist me. First Mistake: getting into trouble with the law; Second Mistake: Hiring anyone else other than Richard Lawson as your attorney. For whatever reason you are looking for an attorney you need look no further. I was arrested for a third DUI-Less Safe in 5 years and there WAS NO HOPE FOR MY CASE. I was facing a year in prison and within ten minutes of walking into the courthouse...I walked out a free man. I still am not sure how this happened, but it did. I was so terrified and was convinced I would not be going home that day because Georgia State Law requires a minimum custody period. As I walked out of the courthouse and climbed into my car I could not believe I would be sleeping in my own bed that night. If your case has no hope like mine did...give it the best chances you can and hire Richard Lawson. Do Not Make A Second Mistake!

I was stopped for a moving violation recently. The police arrested me because they showed my driver's license had been suspended. A little while ago I was charged with DUI. I was in a little town in Southern Georgia when this occurred. I live in Atlanta as this little place is about an hour away, so I was well away from where I am comfortable. In July of 2011, I was charged with my first DUI. Mr Lawson was able to have that charge completely dismissed.
My blood test took 4 months to come back: and was .118; well over the limit. Having a valid drivers license is a requirement for my job. Losing the license would mean losing my job. Mr Lawson's first advice was to recommend that I go ahead and complete the requirements for the charge as if I were found guilty – completion of the DUI course, 80 hours of community service (even though the penalty for 1st time offense is 40 hours, Mr Lawson recommended that I get 80 hours) and an assessment to determine if I needed substance abuse counseling. Mr Lawson then talked to the prosecutor before the arraignment and was able to work out a deal that involved a fine and reduced the DUI charge to a city ordinance violation. Not only did I not lose my license - but nothing will show up on my driving record.
During the wait for my BAC to come back, Mr Lawson was always available to answer any questions I had. The weekend before my arraignment, my wife and I were quite anxious. I was arrested for a Dui, blew a .19 after being taken back to the station, and had been quite belligerent with the Georgia Nighthawk DUI task force officer. While I didn't accept at any of the schools, I will be apply to the schools of Mr. Lawson's caliber like Emory, Columbia, and NYU and hopefully get in one day. Thank You Mr. Lawson for providing me with the tunnel of hope. I have/will recommend Mr. Lawson for any DUI case for my friends and family.

Unfortunately, I got myself in what I call big trouble. Four tickets, a DUI being one of them, I actually deserved this DUI after an evening out with the girls when someone started us on shots of tequila. I was quite intoxicated, to the point it did not register that I should drive. An accident ensued. If you read the mandatory guidelines for sentencing, I was facing big trouble and jail time.

Richard was able to get three of the four tickets dismissed, and I was sentenced to the minimum requirements. His relationships to the judge, the arresting officer and knowledge of the law is extremely helpful in dealing with the courts.

I would definitely refer Mr. Lawson to anyone that is seeking counsel for a DUI. Unfortunately, I got a DUI and a child endangerment charge. I thought for certain that I would have received jail time, lost my license, or both. Mr. Lawson got me a far greater deal than I had ever expected.
