Atty. Martin was very thorough and explained any questions I had in laymans terms, which really put me at ease. She mad sure I knew what all my options were and how they would affect me.

2 years ago my husband and I filed for bankrupcy during the onset of the housing crisis. As with most unknown things, a fear of doing so was most prevalent in our minds. However, after meeting with Attorney Shonterria Martin, our fears were put to rest. She was very knowledgable and well versed in the area of bankrupcy. Additionally, she provided ongoing financial counseling prior to and after the actual bankrupcy. With this added bonus, we are virtually debt free. Filing bankrupcy was the beginning of new financial freedom and we could not have done without our attorney, Shonterria Martin.

Attorney Martin and her staff made the process very simple for me. I had many questions and regardless of the amount of times I called I was always greeted in a professional friendly manner.

I had never worked with a Lawyer prior to my Chapter 7 filing and had heard a lot of horror stories about how some Lawyers were arrogant and lacked compassion, so initally I felt overwhelmed when I had to finally reach out to someone to file.

It was not this way with Ms. Martin, she was patient, understanding and answered a lot of my questions, including offering additional options, and discussing my next steps; short term and long term. She helped me to understand the bankruptcy process in its entirety and was never judgemental. She was very professional and knowledgeable. Working with Ms. Martin felt like a partnership.

Ms. Martin was very professional and compassionate about my case. She made me feel very comfortable even though I was freaking out. I recommend her services if you are looking for a lawyer who actually has a soul and cares about their clients and not just the all mighty dollar.

A few months back I was faced with a serious credit issue! I have pre-paid legal services with my company and was referred to Ms. Martin by them. I was a little reluctant on using her services due the fact it was a pre-paid legal service. I honestly didn't think i would receive the same exceptional service as if I was paying out of my own pocket. I have to admit I couldn't have been more wrong!! I highly recommend Ms. Shonterria Martin. First of all, she has a very personable attitude. She was knowledgeable and professional. She listened closely to our case and made the necessary recommendations without sugar coating them. After our initial consultation, she always answered any questions we had. On hearing day, she was on time and spoke with us before and after the hearing. I am satisfied with my attorney selection which by the way, I found on the AVVO site.

Ms. Martin provided me with excellent service. Her office staff was very organized and thorough. I was very nervous when I first met Ms. Martin and unsure about what steps I needed to take to handle my situation. Ms. Martin was very knowledgable and professional. Ms. Martin was honest with me about my financial situation; I needed to file bankruptcy. She told everything that would take place once we went to court and it happened just as she said. She was right there in court with me. I recommended her to a friend who was in a similar financial situation as myself. Shonterria recommended that my friend not file bankruptcy because the bankruptcy would create a bigger problem than it would solve. This said to me, Ms. Martin does not arbitrarily recommend bankruptcy. I like her and highly recommend her.

Shonterria was great in helping me understanding bankruptcy laws and how bankruptcy is not a financial death sentence but can help a person to move forward in life after financial hardships. She was and continues to be very helpful and knowledgeable with any questions I have.

Shonterria is a very good Lawyer, she is very professional and cares about her clients. She is there for you anytime you need her and always available for questions if you need her to answer something. I am sold on her work ethic and any legal matters that I have I will definitely use her.

Now, after filing bankruptcy back in 2008, we were able to pay all of our current bills on time and we are now getting a 5 bd 4 bath w/a basement house built from ground up. Although we had a house before, there is nothing more precious than getting your own customized home built from the ground. It's to much to even write about Ms Martin on a business and personal level. She exceeds expectations in being attorney. She's helping a member on a trust (inheritance issue). She has made several phone calls to the executive of the estate, giving very good feedback on the discussion each time she calls. I would recommend her to anyone that needs an attorney.

I will try and keep this short, there are so many things I can say about Ms. Martin. Now you want to talk about a people person, this lawyer is really what the world is missing. I meet Ms. Martin at a gas station and we started talking not knowing she was a lawyer. After our talk, I asked what type of work she do, because she was just listening to me go on and on. I hired Ms. Martin when I began to have money problems after losing my job. Very affordable and reliable. Ms. Martin still made me feel like a person even with my money problems. I would call Ms. Martin and if I had to leave message, she would call back in a timely matter. I hied another lawyer before and wish I had meet Ms Martin earlier. I met Ms. Martin back in July 2012 and upon meeting with her she appeared to be very caring & understanding of my situation. She has been very encouraging and respectful throughout this process. She understands that even though we make mistakes....in most cases they can be corrected with the proper guidance. Her rates are reasonable and she was willing to work out a payment plan with me....if needed. I understand that every case is different, but trust that Ms. Martin is VERY knowledgeable in her profession!!!

This is the worse lawyer I have ever used. She broke the lawyer/client privacy privaledge. She's very unprofessional, do not return calls in a timely manner.
