William has called North Carolina home for most of his life, and has lived in the Charlotte area for over 10 years. After graduating from UNC Asheville with a BA in Classics, he pursued his law degree from the Valparaiso University School of Law, where he was the Associate Editor of the Valparaiso Law Review, and Lead Counsel of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America Mock Trial. He graduated from law school in 2003, and was admitted into the North Carolina Bar three months later.
One of the driving forces in William’s decision to pursue a career in law is his passion and belief in the U.S. legal system. He is dedicated to protecting the rights and serving the legal needs of his criminal defense and domestic violence clients, believes strongly in the inherent fairness of Constitutional law, and works closely with his clients and the courts to ensure each case is afforded the fairness of attention that it deserves.
In addition to his private practice, William accepts criminal defense clients via the North Carolina Office of Indigent Services and provides pro bono domestic violence representation via Legal Aid of North Carolina.
