$150,000 bond on DUI

Outcome: Released on pre-trial supervision

Description: The Defendant received his second DUI and was arrested. His bond was set at $25,000. A District Court judge in Anne Arundel County increased the bond to $150,000. Counsel filed a Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus to the Circuit Court in Annapolis, after the District Court judge was unwilling to release the Defendant on any less than the ridiculous $150,000 bond. Counsel persuaded the judge in Circuit Court to release the Defendant on pre-trial supervision. He is now out in the workforce and taking care of his family.
