I posted a review on Google. However, I found Larry on Avvo so I'm copying and pasting the same review on here. If I could give 6 stars, I would happily give 6 stars to Larry. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area and the fact that we have chosen Larry, who is in Manhattan, as our lawyer tells... you everything you need to know about Larry, despite the long distance. My relationship with Larry has started since 2017 when I was in a graduate program for financial mathematics in NYC and dropped out of the program. My younger brother and I had conditional green cards through EB-5 under my mother, and it was just a few years ago when we realized that our previous immigration lawyer swindled more than 200+ EB-5 cases including our case. We were told by many immigration lawyers in the Bay Area and LA that our cases had no hope. I had initial consultations with 7 different lawyers in Manhattan (they were all top rated on Avvo and Google Review) and Larry was the only lawyer who didn’t recommend applying for EB-5. Those 6 other lawyers were more interested in convincing us to apply for EB-5 again than helping us. When you tour a house, you only need the first 10 seconds upon entering the house to know whether you will buy the house. I had a similar experience with Larry. During my first initial consultation with Larry in 2017 (I still had notes of my impression of all lawyers I met in NYC on my ICloud), he was the only lawyer I felt my brother, my mother and I could trust with our unfortunate complex immigration case, not to mention that when you have Larry as your lawyer, you are getting help from Larry directly. Based on his previous chapter in life (he was a public high school teacher), him running a non-profit organization and my first impression of him, I told my brother that I found a great immigration lawyer who could help us navigate complex US immigration laws. From 2018 to 2024, we rely on Larry for all immigration matters. Through his guidance and help, I have received a naturalization certificate through enlisting in the US Navy and my mother has received a new green card via I-130. Larry has been instrumental in preparing my N-400 just a few weeks before I was shipped and my mother’s I-485 and I-130 in 2024. We knew that ISO (immigration service officer at USCIS) will ask us questions about our EB-5 program, we were very nervous (especially my mother) about it since this happened in 2007 and we frankly don’t remember small details anymore. However, my mother was very relaxed once she and I had an interview prep session with Larry just a few weeks before her I-485 interview. If you had time to read everything I wrote, then I hope our experience with Larry helps you a little bit in finding an immigration lawyer. We wholeheartedly recommend Larry as your immigration lawyer.

Laurence is a good lawyer. He helped me with my last step in my immigration journey. He was very responsive, and unlike a few other lawyers he met with me personally and that is a huge plus. He always answered my emails within a very timely matter. The only thing that was something I thought could ...be improved on was the organizational part. It felt a little disorganized at times in terms of guidelines for paperwork. But besides that because of his help my last step of my journey was successful so I am very grateful for it.

A very knowledgeable, Thorough, Detailed oriented lawyer. My first application, which was filed by myself, was denied due to some misunderstanding on the Residency status. So, for the second time application, I hired Laurence. He prepared me with all document starting from the worst possible. w...e discussed all possible questions that may come up in the interview. We were so ready for everything in the interview that it went so smooth and Not to mention, my Naturalization was approved within 15 mins. I truly recommend him and his services. Fees are reasonable as well. Not only good for NY but NJ as well! I am really thankful to him!

We met with Mr. Borten in late April 2022 for family based immigration applications. During our initial consultation, he answered all our questions and concerns about the eligibility of entering the US with Visa Waiver Program. We decided to hire Mr. Borten for our applications for the green cards af...ter the consultation. We met again in the following week. We signed an agreement. Mr. Borten makes us feel worries free and comfortable like at home, took our photos. made copies of all the documents for us. Later he sent us the forms for corrections and then signed, mailed the applications out for us by himself. Perfectly done. During the waiting period, he is very responsive, always on top of every move the USCIS made on our cases, e-mail us every decision to us, before we had checked our online accounts. Our green cards arrived in the past month, the time frame is less than five months. Thank you Mr. Borten for make our dreams come true and to be united with our son.
