About Me

Navigating the immigration maze can be daunting, with life-altering consequences.  Whether you are applying for a visa, sponsoring a family member or employee for permanent residence, or are at risk of deportation, you will need straightforward, individualized advice on what benefits or relief you can expect to obtain, and a thorough explanation of what to expect throughout the process.

I handle all immigration matters, including green cards through work, family, or marriage; citizenship; deportation defense; asylum and other humanitarian relief; and non-immigrant visas (fiancee visas, work visas, tourist visas, and extensions and change of status).  I do not employ paralegals and will handle all aspects of the process myself.  In most cases, I can offer a flat fee, depending on the complexity of the matter.

I am happy to offer one free office consultation (or, if you are not in the New York City area, a free Skype or phone consultation) regarding your circumstances and options, and the legal assistance I may be able to provide.  The consultation is limited to 45 minutes and there is no obligation to hire me.  I cannot provide specific legal advice during a free consultation, but I can outline possible options for attaining your goal based on information you give me, including the process, timeline, and costs.  I do not answer questions by email; the legal forums on Avvo.com are an excellent place to ask individual immigration law questions.

I am a New York attorney and I hold Laurence in very high regard, both professionally and personally. Laurence has worn several professional hats as a New York attorney, and the unique perspective he gained from each position (including several years as a commercial litigator focusing on immigration issues at a large corporate law firm in Manhattan, time as an Assistant District Attorney, and time as a senior attorney at the non-profit organization Children's Rights) make him a trusted colleague and advisor of mine. Laurence is a rare combination of fiercely intelligent, decent and modest, and a "true believer" who fights zealously for his clients. We could use more lawyers like Laurence.
