Public records, divorce court release information
I was divorced in 2014. Can I ask the court that my divorce information will be sealed and will not be cant be revealed to public? I know there are some websites that release information about marriage and divorce records. is there anyway that i be bale to stop it or if it is already revealed, I remove that?
Maybe. You can file a Motion to Seal, Hire an attorney to make their best argument. Judges vary wildly on their willingness to grant such motions. Things like the social study and psych evaluation should not be readily available to the public now. The trial transcript would have to be paid for to be obtained by anyone. Look your case up and see what is visible. This is the link for Dallas County. http://courts.dallascounty.org/default.aspx
You need to meet with an attorney in person. Tell them privately what you are scared will get out--to get useful advice.

You would file a motion to seal the records, the motion must be filed in a public area, and then you would have a hearing on the motion. You have to prove that the reason for sealing your records outweighs the public's right to access them and there is no adverse effects if the records are sealed. You would also have to prove that your case should be treated as an exception to the Texas Rule of Civil Procedure, Rule 76, which says that records should be kept unsealed.
My answer(s) to your questions are for general purposes only, and my answer(s) do not establish an attorney-client relationship.
