I hired Zehra to settle a breech of contract dispute with a contractor. She handled all the communication with the buisness so that I didn’t get taken advantage of or pressured. I recently started my own record label production company in NYC focused on working with independent artists and providing an infrastructure needed to produce quality content and performance. Zehra came in to consult on the final production of an one of our artists albums, which used a number of samp...les, and proceeded to get the proper licensing set up for us. We obtained the mechanical license for each sample used, but we hadn’t obtained the Master Use License or the Sync License. Zehra was not only able to guide us through this process of properly licensing each song, she was patient and kind, and explained to us many of the legal nuances in a way that was incredibly comprehensive and not condescending!

I consulted with Zehra in connection with a potential hostile work environment claim against my former employer. She spent over an hour on the call with me and patiently went through all possible causes of action under federal, state and city law. She was incredibly knowledgeable and generous with he...r time and gave me guidance on how to file a complaint with the New York State Division of Human Rights and explained to me what factors courts look at evaluate these types of claims. Ultimately I did not file a claim but it was so helpful to speak with someone who listened carefully, took my concerns seriously and cared about the outcome. I would definitely refer her to small businesses and members of the LGBTQ community.
