Biography
Yahshuah Akhenaton Ford was admitted to the Maryland Bar Association as a licensed attorney on December 17, 2013 having graduated from the Howard University School of Law. Yahshuah received his B.Sc. in Political Science (Major) History (Minor) from the University of the West Indies, Cavehill Campus. After undergrad Mr. Ford attended the George Washington University where he attained his M.A. in Education, while working for the District of Columbia Public Schools.
During law school Mr. Ford served as the Captain for the Goler Teal Butcher International Moot Court Team which was awarded Best Overall Team, and Best Memorial at the Susan J. Ferrell Human Rights Competition.
Mr. Ford also served as the Captain of the team that competed in the Jessup Cup at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. In addition to Moot Court, Mr. Ford served as a student attorney on the Civil Rights Clinic contributing to amicus curiae briefs submitted to the Supreme Court of the United States in Shelby v. Holder and Hollingsworth v. Perry.
During times of leisure Yahshuah enjoys swimming, tennis, chess, and billiards. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Theon Gruber-Ford, extended family, and friends.
