I returned home from Afghanistan with a medical issue, and everything was a whirlwind—finding a Doctor who could see me was a bit tough. I went along with my medical treatment, and suddenly the “friendly” case manager form the insurance company started asking questions which I thought were meant to ...try to cut off my medical treatment. Soon after I got a letter form a lawyer asking when I would be “ready to go back to work,” and this lawyer was from the insurance company. I was terrified that I would be left without medical treatment, and I was unsure as to what to do. I spoke to a friend, and his unquestioning recommendation was Joann Gerrity of the Turley Mara Firm for my DBA issue. I called Joann, and she returned my call within hours. Other DBA lawyers didn’t return my call for nearly a week. By this time, I had retained Joann, since she spent plenty of time talking with me and working with me to have my medical paperwork reviewed immediately. Joann always took my calls, and when she was out of the office, her assistant got my questions answered within 24 hours. When we faced the insurance company’s “independent medical examiner,” Joann made sure the documentation was in order so that I wouldn’t lose my benefits. She clearly is one of the very best DBA attorneys—and my experience brought this to bear. She has experience dealing with the insurance company and their representatives, who don’t always have one’s best interest at heart. Joann made sure I was able to get the fullest extent of medical care possible at providers I trusted. When the treatment was coming to an end, she flew to meet with me and the insurance company’s attorney. She demonstrated significant tenacity and poise, and was sure to walk me through the process in a way that made all the paperwork understandable. If you have a DBA injury, you would do well to consult with her and see if she can assist in your situation also. The first thing I did was read Mr. Turley's book, then I called his office. I told them my story and the next day I got a call from one of his attorney's. While the first attorney did a good job, she left the firm before my case was finished. Without missing a beat I was assigned a new attorney and w...e pushed on. Without the help of Mr. Turley I would not be in the position I'm in today. He is dedicated to fighting for what you deserve. Read his book, "Win Your Defense Base Act Case", and follow it. Get the book before you get hurt.

I was injured in 2015 in a work related training accident that qualified under the DBA guidelines. Several months later I retained Mr. Turley's law firm. Shortly after that I read his book, it was very helpful & answered most of my initial questions. One thing that definitely helped was Mr. Turley's ...style of writing. It is very easy to understand without a lot of "legaleeze". Mr. Turley walks the reader through a typical DBA case step by step, carefully explaining the "Do's & Don'ts" involved in a DBA case. Again, it was very helpful & easy to understand. Mr. Turley's law firm has been outstanding in all respects. All of my phone calls are answered promptly & my emails are usually answered within the hour. I am extremely happy with the choice I made in legal representation. If you are involved in a DBA case, you definitely need to read this book. 5* for this excellent read.

Mr. Turley is one of the attorneys that handled the Hertz Class action lawsuit and did an exceptional job. Every detail regarding the case was documented and clearly explained for the plaintiffs.
