Victor M. Feraru

I hired Victor M. Feraru to handle my TSA violation case. All seemed well initially, I sent him the notice i received and he informed me he would advocate on my behalf. Communication soon deteriorated between us, he would take very extended periods of time to respond to my correspondence either by ...text or email or phone calls. I was never CC'd on communications between him and TSA/DHS personnel who were handling the other side of the case. Eventually i got a letter from TSA stating that a fine had been assessed. I relayed this letter to Victor who then told me he would pay the fine on my behalf after i sent him the money for it which i did. Two months later i followed up with Victor to make sure he paid the fine and everything was wrapped up with the case, to this Victor would not give me a straight answer, would not show me receipts that he had paid TSA etc.., total communication break down. Finally i took it upon myself and contacted the TSA attorney myself who informed me the fine was never paid, she had attempted to contact Victor on multiple occasions and never got a response and that my fine had been sent to collections at US treasury. After contacting Victor about this and trying to figure out what was going on i got no meaningful communication from him and then he eventually completely ignored my communications. I asked for my full case file which again was met with complete silence, to this date i'm uncertain whether he even advocated on my behalf at all or just took my retainer and did nothing, i have no way of knowing as he will not share my case file with me. I would never recommend him to anyone ever. Beware.

Attorney Feraru is straight out of a movie. I posted a question on Avvo about a letter I received from the Department of Homeland Security's TSA division that I was under investigation and could owe $26,000 if found guilty. Attorney Feraru immediately reached out to help and spent hours going over... the details, reaching out to his network (the guy who wrote the TSA manual) and wrote 4 different drafts of my letter until he decided to simply tell the TSA that no law was broken, which was true. They were just racially profiling me. The TSA was going to prosecute (their attorney told him) until Attorney Feraru made several phone calls and wrote a letter breaking down their case and convincing them they had nothing. He also kept me up to date with very pleasant and empathetic phone calls throughout. He's someone I could see myself becoming friends with, and I never thought I'd say that in a sentence involving a lawyer. They don't make them like this anymore. It's clear that his incredible life history, being on both advantaged and disadvantaged sides of the system, has contributed to his ability to keep his soul intact while being part of this profession. We won. The TSA threw the case out, and I didn't bankrupt myself fighting them. Attorney Feraru is now my point of contact for any future legal work of a similar nature. If you're reading this and considering hiring him, do it. You'll be in incredible hands.
