Rustin Drake Brunson

My clients have sent me into courtrooms and board rooms all over the State of Texas and Oklahoma. For me, very few things compare to the excitement of being in front of a judge and jury. Outside of the courtroom, I help clients manage risk and take advantage of opportunities to grow their business. If I have learned one thing in my career it is that the person who has the best quality and quantity of information available to them has the best chance of being successful.  I don’t churn files – instead, I become part of my client’s bottom line success.  I don’t exacerbate conflict – instead, I take challenges head on, and try to reach the best solution for my clients from day one with an end goal in mind.  We don’t have a rigid fee structure – instead, we work within a budgetary, contingent, or flat fee model that allows us to effectively use risk and reward analysis in the management of files. It also helps that we are passionate lawyers who do good work.

Rustin Brunson is a native of Arlington, Texas, and attended the University of Texas at Arlington.  After obtaining his Bachelors of Business Administration, Rustin obtained his J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law.  Rustin is an attorney at the Law Offices of Orsen E. Paxton, III P.C., where he handles all aspects of business and tort litigation, and advises clients on regulatory compliance and transactional issues.

During his tenure at Oklahoma City University, Rustin received the McAfee and Taft Outstanding Trial Advocate Award, was named to the Order of Barristers,  received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Litigation, and competed in numerous interscholastic competitions as a member of OCU Law’s AAJ Mock Trial Team.  Rustin also obtained a limited license to practice law as a law student and averaged eight hours per month in a courtroom or deposition during his final year of law school.
