Terry P. Gorman

I initially hired Donald Hensley prior to Mr Gorman taking over. From the beginning, he was extremely hard to reach, had ME do clerical work that a paralegal should have done, and had me submit and resubmit documents. He song and danced me as he did some of these other reviewers. He said he would fi...le my case in this court, then it would be moved to another court. There was no evidence that anything was ever done. My frustration with his lack of communication came to a head when I finally went to his Austin office. The receptionist was rude and handed me a post it note to give him a message. I messaged, called, used the web portal, and texted him repeatedly to be answered. His staff rotated in and out. At one point he admitted that my case had been “lost” amid paper work on someone’s desk. I dealt with his lying to me for three years. Then, I get a message saying he is done. Just...,done. Too bad for me. Told me to download all of my documents. So what... now I have to hire another lawyer and pay another retainer? I want my retainer back and in the space of time he claims to have been working my case, I would assume he used it up. I am terribly displeased and find this behavior abhorrent and unacceptable.

I was told my case would go to the supreme court, but was never given any feedback, even when asked. He then, three years later, checks in (despite me asking previously throughout the years), and states he didn't, in fact, work my case. He then offered a refund and did not make good on the payment. I...t was a waste of my time and money.

He kept stating he was working on the lawsuit against the school district for over 6 months. Kept kicking the can down the road. Week before stated he would have it filed by the end of the week, then no response. Messaged him again only to find out that he was turning in his law license after spea...king with the Texas State Board Association and he was terminating the case. Refused to return the retainer after he stated the firm is out of money. We were just left high and dry with a school district and TEA continuing to break Texas State law repeatedly. He was also very hard to reach to get any process on the case.

I was accused by the school for academic dishonestly, and I reached out to Terry as my hearing date approaches. He and his team comforted me, helped me collect evidences, and prep me for the hearing. Terry even wrote a step-by-step hearing guide for me to help me not to blank out during this very str...essful time. With the help of Terry, I was able to address the panel professionally, and I successfully got the charges dropped. During these two months, Terry and his team have been very responsive, informative, and considerate. Even when Terry was unavailable to respond to my message, his team would let me know so I was not left on read. My mental health got so much better after I hired Terry, and I will definitely recommend him to anyone. He KNOWS how to help you win.
