I briefly retained Teresa's services shortly after my mother passed away. I had joint Power of Attorney with my sister who kept tight control of our mother's finances. Years after the fact I discovered that my sister had secretly transferred our mom's house to herself; had gifted mom's retirement fun...ds to herself; and had used our mom's remaining funds for her own personal use. Long story short my sister made off with over $200k by denying our mom care for her dementia until the 5 year Medicaid lookback had expired.
