Taneen Jafarkhani

I contacted Taneen for advice several times over the course of a difficult year at work in which I was experiencing retaliation and hostile writing environment over my mental health status. Without Taneen's support, advice and expertise it would have been extremely difficult if not impossible for me.... She gave me the confidence to fight back against my employer and to try to improve the situation which resulted in a favourable outcome for me. Taneen was professional, extremely understanding, thoughtful and great at explaining everything. She prepared me for hostile interrogations at work, how to write letters to HR and ask for reasonable accommodations. As a person who finds it very difficult to stand up for myself, having Taneen at my side made me feel I could do it and indeed I did. It was not only a financially rewarding service that Taneen provided but also I learnt how to stand up for myself and believe that I deserve a better working environment. I couldn't recommend Taneen enough for her commitment and ability to go up against a very big organisation and win.

I spoke with Taneen in regards to my harassment and discrimination taking place at work. At first I didn’t feel that I had any options but after speaking to her not just did she put my mind at ease but also let me know all of my options which gave me a clear vision of the steps I needed to take next ...against my employer. I had a lovely time talking to Taneen today on the phone about an employer that encouraged a resignation on false pretenses. Taneen helped me think through all the different options that I had & was honest to tell me that this was not something worth pursuing legally. She still gave me a wide range o...f recourses (ie: for example, leaving a truthful glassdoor review). I feel that I learned a lot about the US employment law landscape in our consultation. She described to me in detail the differences between the Department of Human Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission & the Department of Labor. I appreciated her energy & empathy with the situation. Her experience is self-evident in both her tone & thoroughness. Highly recommended, kind professional!
