Steven Anthony Medina

Steven A. Medina is a trial attorney and co-founding partner of Medina | Morgan, where he represents individuals and families in catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, and civil-rights litigation. His practice focuses on cases involving profound personal harm, institutional failures, and systemic misconduct.

Steve has built his career on complex, high-stakes litigation against institutional defendants. He litigates medical malpractice cases on behalf of patients and families injured by hospitals, physicians, and healthcare systems throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He also maintains an active civil-rights practice, representing victims of police misconduct, excessive force, and unconstitutional failures to provide medical care to incarcerated persons.

Before founding Medina | Morgan, Steve practiced at a nationally prominent plaintiffs’ firm, where he handled complex medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, civil rights, and environmental matters. He has helped to recover hundreds of millions of dollars for clients. For example, recently in In re East Palestine Train Derailment, No. 4:23-cv-00242 (N.D. Ohio), Steve led the Plaintiffs’ Discovery Subcommittee. He took and defended key depositions and helped to shape the factual record leading to a proposed $600 million class settlement. His work in that case reflects the strategic, detail-oriented advocacy for which he is known nationwide.
