Steven C. Follum grew up in Rochester, NY. He graduated from The Florida State University, majoring in child development, with a minor in urban and regional planning. He earned his Masters in Elementary Education from Canisius College, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Buffalo in 2003. Mr. Follum worked as a teacher and gifted and talented programing specialist for the Williamsville Central School District and for the Aid to Indigent Prisoners Society, Inc. in Buffalo, New York, before relocating with his family to Davidson, North Carolina in 2007.
Steven’s main area of practice since relocating has been criminal defense of felonies and misdemeanors, DWI defense, traffic law, expunctions, DMV hearings and Juvenile law. Steven has been practicing law in North Carolina for over seven years and has handled thousands of case in this time.
Steven is passionate about outdoor pursuits. He is an avid runner, stand up paddler, hiker and fisherman. Living in the Lake Norman area provides him the opportunity to pursue these sports on a regular basis. He enjoys being in such close proximity to the Appalachian Mountains and the beautiful Atlantic beaches.
