Biography
Stephanie Tang is a Partner at Kogut & Wilson, L.L.C. Stephanie represents individuals in all aspects of family and matrimonial law proceedings. She strives to provide personalized attention to all of her clients and walk them through each step of the litigation or settlement process. Her effective communication and organizational skills help clients feel comfortable and prepared through one of the most stressful times of their lives. As a certified mediator, Associate with the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois, and member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Stephanie is able to offer clients an alternative to resolve their divorce outside of the courtroom.
Stephanie is a graduate from University of Illinois College of Law, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with pro bono notation. In 2017, Stephanie was selected among over 2,300 volunteer attorneys to receive the Distinguished Service Award for outstanding pro bono services by the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, Chicago’s first and pre-eminent legal aid organization. In 2019, Stephanie was recognized as “Young Lawyer of the Year” by the Illinois State Bar Association.
Outside of her involvement in this legal organization, Stephanie is also an Adjunct Professor in Legal Writing for Loyola University School of Law. She teaches first-year law students effective legal writing techniques for formal legal memoranda and trial briefs, and helps them develop their writing skills for future legal practice.
