Stacey Stone Bennett

A talented and experienced litigator, mediator, arbitrator, and negotiator, Stacey Stone Bennett is the principal attorney with Stone Bennett, PC. 

Prior to stepping out on her own, Stacey was Assistant General Counsel at Bank of America Corporation, providing legal advice to associates and senior executives responsible for enterprise services, operations and sourcing.  Before joining the Bank, she worked with Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, PLLC, a full-service business law firm serving regional and national clients, defending actions at trial and appellate levels in administrative, state and federal courts encompassing toxic tort litigation, commercial collections, workers’ compensation, school law, general insurance claims, corporate antitrust investigations, and matters involving municipalities and public officials. 

Having built a remarkable entertainment law clientele in the early years of her practice, Stacey has drafted and negotiated live performance, radio and television contracts for clients including comedians, songwriters and performers, producers, on-air personalities, and promoters.  She shares her knowledge and real-world experience with future legal professionals as an Adjunct Professor with Charlotte School of Law.

Active in the Charlotte community and in her hometown of Martinsville, Virginia, Stacey has volunteered with LEAD for Women, the United Negro College Fund and the Miss Black Teenage World Scholarship Pageant. She is a past member of the Winston-Salem State University Foundation Board of Directors, and is a current member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and The Charlotte Chapter of The Girl Friends, Inc.
