Sean E Armstrong

I had Sean as my attorney for a very messy divorce. He is a top notch attorney, and of the few elite attorneys in town one of the very best. He is competent, and his ability negotiate with difficult opposing counsel and ex-spouses and judges is excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend him to a...nyone. If he were to take your case, you are in good hands because his understanding of the law and his practical advice on resolving conflict is money well spent.

I found Mr. Armstrong through a web search. He was the only lawyer in the Salem area who did Divorce and Elder Abuse cases. I had been to two lawyers previously; one for general advice and the other (a referral by the first) to represent me. The relationship did not work out well with the second l...awyer. A small office with one secretary/assistant was not able to keep me informed of case progress. The lawyer was inexperienced, often unavailable and had a very limited vocabulary of help to offer; he knew how to fill in the blanks on some one else's form. Mr. Armstrong has a staff at GHR, that not only kept me informed, but promptly gave me copies of all documents presented to the court or the opposing firm. That support team also meant that costs were reduced by using staff that specialized in specific "layers" of work (i.e. court filings, research, documentation). Mr. Armstrong established a relationship of trust from our first meeting. His experience in other areas of law (former Police Officer, part-time Judge) give him a perspective of How Law Works. He was also sensitive to my needs due to disability, my personal and religious beliefs and saw to it that I was HEARD by the opposing lawyer AND the Judge. I believe that I was represented as well as could be done by anyone. And, I cannot overemphasize the importance of the GHR team in all of this. Telling me what to expect from the Court and keeping me informed gave me a measure of peace with what was happening. And now, after a few months, I realize even more so, how important that is. In his final Official letter to me, Mr. Armstrong provided a very helpful list of things that must be done, following the judgment; things I never would have thought of and that have saved me much time and money. I have a little more legal work to be done and will be asking Mr. Armstrong to do the work. There is a sense of Integrity with everyone I spoke to at GHR; again, a Team.

I would highly recommend Sean for any divorce support. I asked him to defend a deposition for me against a very aggressive attorney over a matter with my ex-husband that had been settled in 2011. My ex-husband was suing his attorney at the time for malpractice, but based on the information I was aske...d to provide, I felt I was also at risk. Sean willingly took the case and provided excellent support and guidance. I was angry and wanted to refuse to cooperate, but after taking Sean's advice about what to say and how to say it, we sailed right through it. He was wonderfully supportive and his legal advice and knowledge of all parties was the only reason I was able to keep my emotions in check.
