Ryan M Johnson

Ryan attended Sprague High School in Salem, Oregon and received his Bachelor's degree in Business Finance with a minor in Spanish from Brigham Young University. He also received BYU's Global Management certificate (international business minor) and was awarded the Edna L. Hebard Scholarship for academic excellence. After graduating from BYU, Ryan attended the University of Connecticut School of Law where he was selected as a member of the Public Interest Law Journal - a top five civil rights law journal. After his first year at UCONN, Ryan transferred to the University of Oregon School of Law to be back in his home state. At the University of Oregon Ryan was selected as a member of the law school's Jessup International Moot Court Team to compete in the Superregionals in San Francisco. Ryan has written scholarly papers on the Federal Rules of Evidence' impact on privileges, the influence of FRE 401 in Trial Proceedings, and parental liability for torts committed by children.

From 2001 – 2005 Ryan owned, managed, and operated a small business which he later sold. In 2004, he worked for a company in Damascus, Syria advising them on international legal procedures and developing international business plans. He began his legal career as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Owen Panner, a Federal Judge in Medford, Oregon. He later worked for Safeco's in-house legal counsel defending against personal injury claims, construction defect claims and other various areas of law. Ryan is now partner of a law practice specializing in Personal Injury and Family Law. Ryan finds deep satisfaction working hard for his clients and helping them through their difficult times. He is a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyer's Association, a member of the Marion County Bar Association, and a member of the Oregon State Bar Family Law and Litigation section.

Ryan served a two-year church mission in Venezuela. He is Fluent in Spanish and has intermediate fluency in Arabic. He is actively involved as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America. Ryan has volunteered with the United States Attorney's office, with CASA organization helping children in the court system and with the Big Brother program. Ryan actively participates in City of Salem sporting leagues. He is happily married with three children.
