Ive hired Mr scott mills to help with my husbands immigration status. He was very nice and seem to be interested in our case and want to help out. After paying the retainer fee and signing a contract with him, he seemed to have disappeared. We have called and left messages to his secretary who would ...tell us he or she would call back with more information and never does. We went to see if we can get a hold of him at his tacoma office and he was not there. Bumped into one of the business owners next to his office and told us we are not the first he hears that is looking for him because he does not return calls. This tells you alot about him and how he runs his business. Mr Mills, why did you go to school to become a lawyer? Was it to help the people or was it just for the money?? I wouldnt recommend him to anyone. I just hope at the end we get a hold of him and win the case.

Scott was referred to me by a friend. Upon meeting Scott the first time he was very polite and it seemed that he was genuine in wanting to help us with our case. He was very prompt in returning phone calls but as soon as I paid the 1,000 dollar retainer fee and signed my contract that professional a...ttorney that showed concern for our case was no where to be found. I desperately tried to reach him and he continually failed to communicate leaving me and my husband in the dark. When the attorney finally got back to me which was by text, he proceeded to lecture me on calling him too many times and was very rude. He did not provide me any information about the case and said he would get back to me the following Monday. Monday came and went and still no reply. This is the type of behavior I continued to receive. I finally fired him after he failed to show up to a meeting with my husband who was incarcerated. The following day I tried reach him to let him know we no longer needed his services and to no surprise he didn't answer. I sent a text and still no response. When I called to ask for a refund of the remaining retainer fee he conveniently said he was on his way to the jail the morning I fired him and that the retainer fee had been used completely. I paid him 1,000 dollars to do absolutely nothing!!! He did not once communicate with my husband or I through out the whole entire case. We were scared, and stressed and were relying on him to help us through this difficult time. He had no consideration of our feeling and what we were going through. I was charged for services never rendered.

We hire Scott to represent my husband for his immigration case. When we had our interviews here, the officer requested some documents which Scott did not have with him. He was not prepared. The office was nice enough to let him write out some information on blank piece of paper. Him not presenting a...ll needed documents could have greatly affected my husband's case. At one of our hearings again he was not prepared and had no great explanation for the judge we looked like fools. Knowing my husband has been here for years and dos not qualify for asylum, he tried asking the judge for it ofcourse was denied. Bottom line is he promised we had a ase a could help us, but he never really did anything. He never responded to our calls, voicemails, and mesages not his assistant until the last minute. He moved out of state and didn't bother to let us know. He contacted 4 days before my husband's hearing to say hey I'm mom longer jn utah some other lawyer will represent your case and will do a better job. I have great lawyers working for me who are from California blah blah blah. This lawyer he hired was nice nothing against him, but he new nothing of what was going on or about my husband's case. This lawyer informed the judge that he was barely hired on by Scott on Friday, 4 days before our court day and all the sudden the plan changed he now wanted to ask for voluntary departure. He did nothing. He took on our case with non intention of really helping. He's a liar and not dependable. He made falls promises knowing he didn't know what to do in our case. We feel he just took out money. I would not recommend him to anyone. No one should have to go through all the stress of not knowing what your lawyer is doing or not doing and not hearing from him. He just disappeared and left us hanging. Luckily the judge gave us time to go back and see him with another lawyer to reprent our case. Shame on you Scott d. Mills!!!

I hired Scott Mills to work on my husband’s immigration case. After paying the retainer fee in full that very same day, he inexplicably became impossible to contact whether by phone, email, or text. He stated that to begin with, he would be filing an emergency motion to reopen, only to find out - th...ree months later - and what would be potentially the day before the decision by the court, that he NEVER filed and did not even attempt to contact us as to why. And … to make it even worse, my mother had to tell my husband over the phone of what had transpired since I was so devastated by this event. The entire time he gave inaccurate information causing us to believe that he was actively working on my husband’s case. He ignored numerous attempts from us begging for updates, appointments and copies of the documents that he had supposedly submitted. When we were finally able to contact him after many, many attempts, we feel he tried to use his personal life issues as an excuse. We were led to believe our case was in good hands and actively being worked on only to find out that nothing had been done or filed. We were devastated to learn of this - again just ONE day before we thought would we would have word on an outcome. If you are looking for an attorney that you can contact on a regular basis and implicitly trust with your loved one, I would suggest looking else where. This is NOT the lawyer for you.
