When it was time for Dad to go into a nursing home, we asked friends who had a similar experience for their advice. One friend had just gotten her father approved by MassHealth with the help of Sarah Peterson. We interviewed both Sarah and another attorney. We weren't impressed with the other att...orney. We met Sarah and she was organized, knowledgeable and personable. Her fee was reasonable and we felt comfortable hiring her at that first meeting. She helped us set up a pooled trust so that Dad's money was able to be used to pay for things he wanted like cable and his phone. The only glitch we ran into was having to change his life insurance policies twice, but in the end, Dad was approved for MassHealth only 3 days later than our original requested date. I don't know how we would have been able to successfully navigate MassHealth without Sarah's work and guidance.

Sarah handled the sale of my elderly parents' house after they moved to an assisted living facility. The situation was a little complicated (because the house is old, and because I have my parents' power of attorney but was traveling in and out of the country the whole time). Sarah and her staff and ...colleagues were wonderful, always — thinking ahead, always thorough on matters big and tiny, keeping me informed, being diplomatic and kind with all the parties involved.

This young lawyer is very professional. She will keep you informed throughout your time with her. Very delingent in keeping on top of the matter at hand. She will pursue the matter until it is resolved to your satisfaction and throughout keeps you informed by telephone, e-mail or a written letter ...when deemed necessary. She walks you through the whole process of elder law and pertinent matters thereof. Sarah is a great person who tells it like it is-very honest and above board.. No matter what.
