Gave terrible advice, wrote a defective agreement, failed to prepare for court, antagonized the judge, then blamed me for the ba

Refer this lawyer to someone you dislike. My ex and I had negotiated terms amongst ourselves and we just needed the uncontested divorce agreement formalized. I was assigned Ms Bonivich when I engaged Hunter Law Group; which had represented me before. Ms Bonivich advised me against sharing Fin...ancial Affidavits to save time and then prepared a Marriage Settlement Agreement stating we HAD shared Financial Affidavits. I noticed this after my ex had already signed the agreement. When I asked Ms Bonivich about it she assured me that it wasn't a reason to redraft the agreement since it had already been signed, and that it was still binding. After the MSA was filed with the court, but before the divorce was finalized my ex decides she wants more money and gets representation to set the MSA aside. Ms Bonivich convinced me the agreement was sound and that she would prepare me rigorously for the hearing as it neared. When the hearing approached she only made herself available for preparation by phone and she didn't prepare me for the most obvious of legal questions from the judge; specifically the questions "Why didn't we share FAs?" and "Why did I sign the MSA that said we did share FAs?". It had been more than a year since and I had forgotten all about these aspects of the MSA so I stumbled in my response. Ms Bonivich's performance in the hearing was atrocious. She began by failing to follow the instructions from the judge and turning her cell phone off. The bailiff was very clear as we entered and the judge had to interrupt the proceedings to ask each of us who had their phone on. It was clear the judge was irritated by this, and thus irritated by me. Ms Bonivich was rude to my ex; calling her a liar very early in her testimony and elevating her as a sympathetic figure. Ms Bonivich argued with the judge; he stated he believed my ex did not know the details of our finances and she continued to argue that she did well after the court asked her to move on. When the court asked her to present evidence that had been truthful she argued that it didn't matter... Rather than listing the positive facts of the case she argued that it didn't matter if I had misled my ex! With that, the judge was convinced to overturn the MSA. After the failure of the hearing she attributed the outcome to my testimony, and took no responsibility for being unprepared or having made bad arguments. I sought different representation after the hearing; but my options were constrained to the facts entered at that time. This isn't a complete list of all the ways Ms Bonivich failed me; it truly feels as if she were working against me from the beginning. She did a good job of convincing me she had everything in hand until we were in the hearing. My divorce settlement ended up taking two years and costing 425k instead of the 95k we originally negotiated.

Thank you for your hard work, persistence, and for providing the highest level of integrity for my family

Professional, compassionate, articulate, and bold are just a few of the words I would use to describe Robyn A. Bonivich at Hunter Law group in Tampa Florida. When I first walked into Hunter Law group I was beyond nervous and filled with worry. Owner Regina Hunter took the time to listen to my story a...ll the way through, never judging, and in fact helped me make sense of what was really happening. Regina noticed right away that I was taking the pressure of the situation on my shoulders and she instantly identified what was really happening to me and my daughters. When I left Hunter Law after the first consultation I knew then and there that even though the battle ahead wouldn’t be an easy one, it would end up with what I felt was best for my family. After researching our case, Regina appointed me with Hunter Law attorney Robyn Bonivich (she knew who I needed). Robyn has a bold and confident spirit that offers knowledge, reassurance and an assertive personality one cannot describe. From the moment I met her I knew she wasn’t the exact attorney I thought I wanted but the attorney I needed to keep my daughter’s safety a high priority! From the moment our case started Robyn communicated with me the exact steps she was taking, used her attorney resources in the office to get ahead on the case, and knew the proper times to take immediate action. Even when I didn’t understand some of the aspects of the case and had fears of the unknown. I found that she was consistent throughout to keep the best interest of my children. She wasn’t representing me, she was representing my kids! Robyn was always consistent at reminding me the right steps I should take with my daughters during the court process and made me aware I was tougher than I thought I was as an individual and as a mother. During the hard times leading up to the trial she always remained confident, prepared and took action to get the job done. Not only was she real with me during the entire case but she was also the backbone and strength for me and my girls. What I needed was someone to take the emotional aspects out of the case and keep us calm, and focused on what needed to be done. Robyn stuck up for me and my family, and I would recommend her to any mother out there that needs help because I know what she’s made of! I’m leaving this review in hopes it can help other parents out there going through a divorce or family law case involving their children, if you have the opportunity to work with Robyn there is hope! No matter how hard the case may be I can assure you Robyn not once ever thought about giving up. With Robyn, I felt like I had an army! I knew I had to remain open even in the uncomfortable times, twists and turns of this difficult case but Robyn made it easy to trust her and the process at all times. She knew what was best for my situation and how to handle it promptly and professionally. Robyn, I want to thank you for your hard work, persistence, and for providing the highest level of integrity for my family. At the end of my case there were times I missed your directness, and the security of knowing you had my family’s best interest at heart but you certainly left me standing strong as a mother and individual, for that, I'm eternally grateful!

Amazing!

I am not one to speak highly of any attorney, but Robyn is sincerely the most thorough, understanding, detailed, intelligent, organized divorce attorney I have ever dealt with. From beginning to end she was very supportive, her explanations were clear and precise, and I felt she had my back at all ti...mes no matter what was thrown at us. She will always be my top choice if I ever need to go in front of a judge again. I would give her 6 stars if i could!

More than lawyer

As emotional as divorce can be, I was not in the best of head space to deal with a divorce, let alone all the ends and outs of it. I wanted to quite just so I wouldn't have to deal with it. Robyn's knowledge, competence and focus gave me the strength I needed to regain my confidence in myself to take... care of this divorce in the best interest of my child and I. Her and the team are a great group to work with and I always felt my best interest was always looked after even when I didn't feel it. I would recommend anybody to use her services.
